Why The Arts Should Be Removed From The Curriculum

In high school, you are meant to be exposed to a large variety of subjects to study. Classes such as biology, to foreign languages, and even to band and other arts. People have many opinions on if the arts are important to a well rounded education or not. Some believe it is very important, while others believe it needs to be removed from the curriculum. In my opinion, I believe the art program is something valuable in our education.

The arts play a big role in the remembering our culture. They've have been an important role in our culture throughout history, and it is crucial that we expose students to as much of it as possible. The art programs reveal parts of culture not as easily visible through other aspects such as just reading about it. It makes it easier reveal these ideas and views to students who cannot easily understand the complex literature of our culture and other cultures. Throughout the school day students may build up their stress levels, or, possibly, come up with interesting ideas which they would like to share with the world. The arts are here to help students express themselves and allow their ideas to flow. Instead of stressing over little things, one may be given the chance to play a piece they worked on for a crowd or show their art off. When a student plays their note right, or does good on a picture their confidence boosts. The arts are also crucial for college; they want someone who is invested in things and doesn't just study. Some people want to be composers, authors, and actors, not just doctors. The arts simultaneously give students a break from the stress of their day; it is important that students have something they get to enjoy doing during the school
