Children Shouldn’t Get Homework I’ve had homework pretty much every night since elementary school and all I can say about it is that I absolutely hate it. If you ask most kids, they’ll agree. As much as I dislike it, I have always been good about turning my homework in and on time. What exactly is fun about homework? And what is the point? Students are at school for 6 hours a day and teachers still give us homework. When teachers give us homework they are taking away more of our free time. There have been times when I have been working on homework from 3:00 in the afternoon to midnight. Instead of spending my afternoon on so much homework, I could have been outside or spending time with my family. In conclusion, homework is a waste of time. Time that can be better spent is with family and having fun participating in extracurricular activities. Students usually spend at least six hours at school. This does not include how much time it takes to complete their homework of their extracurricular activities.
