When considering my application, I ask that you graciously consider all that I have accomplished throughout my high school career and all that I aim to accomplish in the future. Despite attending an academically strenuous high school, I have managed to remain in the top 10% of my class with a GPA of a 3.926. In addition to that, I managed to obtain a 28 on the ACT, a 1790 on the SAT, and 1820 if you super score the total of the SAT tests I have taken. In addition to being academically strong, I am extremely well rounded. I am currently the president of the Cedar Hill Mayor’s Teen Council, an organization in Cedar Hill that I have been a part of for three years. In addition to that, throughout my high school career I have been a member of the Cedar Hill Collegiate poetry club, the Cedar Hill Collegiate Ladies Club, Helping Hands, the yearbook club the Cedar Valley College Green Club, National Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa—a college level honor society. …show more content…

I understand that education is an investment that pays off, but I am hoping that I can avoid such a high debt total. I view college as a gateway to my future. With the assistance of higher education, 5 to 10 years from now, I can see myself working on the sets of major film or music video sets, and perhaps acting as a freelance journalist or video editor in my spare time. Considering all of the reasons I plan to go to college in conjunction with my future goals, not pursuing higher education is not an option, and neither is failure.
