There is this one quote that I also have in mind and believe, "Impossible is just a word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing" by Muhammad Ali. My main reasons for transferring is that there are many opportunities that I can have and achieve. I would like to challenge myself. Up until now, I see myself where I’m supposed to stand. The objectives that I hope to achieve is to earn a degree in Biology and go straight into medical school. By attending UVA, I would love to participate in the club meeting, volunteer, and summer internship. My first year at Nova, I took my first science class, which was biology. First, my major was undecided and went under a general study. After finishing my first semester at Nova and I was loved with the subject. More and more my interest was leaning towards biology. Then, I took more science classes and declared my major and decided to be an associate of science. While researching for schools that fit my major, program, and interest. Also, reading the guaranteed admission agreement with Nova gave me a hope that …show more content…
My reasons for transferring are almost academic and opportunities. After being in Nova for two years and studying my major. I learned myself that I’m really interested and eager to learn more and go to a bigger stage. Nova helped me set me up from the beginning and up until now and I want to expand my learning into a bigger community. The academic interest and program perfectly matches my interests and perfectly got achieving my goals. When I visited the campus, I was very pleased with the environment, different buildings, and hospital. My fondness for biology started in my high school years and it grows as I learned about the subject
I was recently accepted into the Exploratory Studies college at NC State, and am beyond excited to hopefully continue my academic career at NC State University. Although I am currently undecided on my major, I've shown the most interest in math and science related subjects, and hope to pursue similar avenues of study at State through the Exploratory Studies program. I am interested in exploring different career paths that I may have not yet considered, and believe that this program will provide me with the resources necessary to truly discover what I want to do for the rest of my life. Although I currently do not have any specific career objectives, I am confident that I will leave NC State prepared to build a successful career, regardless of my eventual major. I am excited at how much NC State and the Exploratory Studies college has to offer, and hope to eventually graduate with the experience and knowledge to begin a professional career.
The decision to enroll in graduate school came after considerable time and soul searching. While contemplating the decision to return to school I thought about life, school and work. I realized that my experience in these areas have prepared me for the challenge and I am going to succeed.
I, Hope Turnbull, am a Senior of Stockton High School in Stockton Kansas. My plans consist of attending North Central Kansas Technical College starting Fall 2016, where I want to begin my study of nursing. Due to me having all of my general education courses finished upon my college arrival, I have been accepted into the first year Nursing Program (LPN). I believe that I deserve this scholarship due to me excelling in my education at a very young age. My grades are earned as A’s and B’s in school.
what you'd like to major, why or how your past academic or work experience influenced your decision
Although the decision of where to attend Graduate school may be difficult for some, this was one of the easiest decisions I have made about my future. The past four years at ECU have helped me grow into the person I am today and helped me decide to stay at ECU for the MSA program. The experiences I have encountered while in college have helped me reach my goals and I look forward to other experiences at ECU that will help me accomplish my short-term and long-term career goals.
Meanwhile, I would transfer to attend the University of Texas at Arlington. Once I start the school year, I am going to surround myself with young people, who are motivated, caring and determined, too successful in their academics as well as their personal lives. I want to strengthen my communication skills, study harder, and improve my time management skills. And maintain myself there to obtain my Bachelor Science Degree and can go deeper and higher level status in my career field. I choose to apply to this Honors Program, because I like to be challenged and I work hard for what I want to
The first college I attended was Georgia Military College. I chose to attend Georgia Military College because I thought it would be an easy start. I chose to major in Nursing because I wanted to do a career that is challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people's lives daily. My passion for Nursing is helping others in their time of need and put their needs before my own. I know that I was destined to something bigger than myself. I know that to accomplish this goal I must fulfill my dream of becoming a Nurse.
Thrilled because it was one of the top state schools for science in New York. I was anxious because the school was a bit far away, and I liked to stay close to home. During orientation, I did not know what to expect, surrounded by new people, and a new environment. I wondered whether if I could really adjust to this new setting and whether it would impact might academics. As I mentioned earlier, personal success is finding where you're most comfortable and content in. Also, I was kind of on the fence on what major I was going to pursue. I knew it was going to be in the science field, but I just could not narrow down to the specifics. One of the challenges that I might face along my academic journey is not knowing what major to study. I have considered, biology, nursing, or pharmacy. The undergraduate college advisor could assist me on what major is best suited for me. Another challenge that I might face along my academic journal is procrastination coupled with laziness. Ever since I was in middle school, I always did assignments at the last minute, which might hinder my performance in the courses that I might take in college. For this problem, I am the one that should try and help myself, because in college you are expected to do your work on time. The people that I think would be helpful in supporting my academic success are my parents, peers, lecturers, and my SSO
“Is it worth it?” This is the most-asked question after I put in my resignation letter. I’m leaving my job at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to pursue a master’s degree at University of Pittsburgh, and this has raised a lot of conversation at my workplace. Co-workers suddenly approach me to learn about the application process and cost for grad school. Managers randomly stop me to say that this might not be the right decision. I, on the other hand, am very excited to become a full-time student again, and I would like to show you how to make this transition.
This school was a good choice for me because I am currently in a top five accredited forensic chemistry program and have learned so much over the last three and a half years. Attending the University of Mississippi has given me the opportunity to be in a lab setting and experience first hand what it is like to perform experiments and test substances. I have also received the opportunity to research the effects of marijuana on the renal system and will begin this coming spring
The reasons for transferring are many. I want a career that involves travelling to foreign countries and know I need a bachelor’s to be competitive in the global market place. My interest in cultures started as a child; I knew I wanted to explore the world at a very young age. My family is comprised of immigrants coming from all regions of Europe. Their stories and experiences had a tremendous impact on who I am today. I believe we are a map of our experiences and feelings. My interests and desires of learning more about other cultures started with stories told by my grandparents. I was intrigued by their struggles, perseverance, and traditions and I always wanted to know more about their culture. My unrelenting personal perseverance of overcoming
However, my heart was set on medical school so I started my university career at the University of the Fraser, but felt unfulfilled there as I needed to grow as a person, the decision then came to leave and study further away from home, hence why I transferred to the University of Victoria. It was here that I had made life long connections as I joined a fraternity that contributed well to the community and had academic excellence. These connections allowed me to meet very successful individuals including doctors, pharmacists, lawyers, and even a supreme court judge. Meeting these successful people only furthered my drive as I wanted to become one of them, providing the community with a service that will better their lives on a daily basis. Even today, I am supporting my community with services, such as volunteering at soup kitchens, donating blood, or raising money for cancer

Time management helps us to use the right strategies and develop the skills that will improve the way we use our time.
Up until recent years, I had never considered having a career in a science related field. My realization came during my first year of high school when I took Biology. Learning about how DNA determines a person’s physical -- sometimes personal -- characteristics inspired me to pursue a career in the biomedical sciences. Now, I wish to embark on an educational journey to my dream college,
The degree that I have chosen, Human Biology with an emphasis in Biology, will not be an easy task, but I am willing to take it on. I enjoy being challenged so I hope that with my drive and determination I will be able to maintain a GPA above a 3.2 while still feeling like I love the subject. I chose biology because the human body and all the different aspects of it have always intrigued me. I am the type of person that likes to stick to a set plan, so the fact that I had to set up my entire schedule for the next four years seemed daunting at first, but after completing it, I realized that I was a lot more relaxed about signing up for classes next spring and the other semesters to come. I am currently not enrolled in any science classes and being a science major that did not make any
