The idea of paying students for good grades might sound like an amazing deal, but the results may cause more harm than success. Others might think that paying students for spectacular performances in school will encourage them, but their inspiration for learning is the core to success and accomplishments. There are three reasons for why students should not be paid for good grades. Nurturing and reinforcing greatly encourages students who lack motivation to stay focused in school. In addition, students should feel satisfied and proud of all the achievements and knowledge they have gained, ordinarily, success is its own reward. The final reason is, students incentivized by their own ambition to learn will, in the long run, have higher academic performances than students who are paid.
