Most people don’t have that many strong areas and others have very strong areas in their skills. Also some people skills are all good and have no problems with anything and don’t need to improve. There is nothing wrong with having weak points because you know that you can improve yourself and make things better. Also the strongest point you have is great because it can rub off on other people that need improvement. The skills you have can help you with jobs and activities also class work and some group work. My weakest point in my area is decision making. That is so because I’m unsure with what I do and sometimes don’t care of how I do this. Another thing is that I’m sometimes not that responsible and don’t think and just do and don’t think about the consequences. When I do make a choice it’s not the right one and me or other people end up getting hurt in the process. When I do make the right choice it’s too late but when it’s not I do make the right choice and no one gets hurt or I get a good grade and that’s when I really think about it but I really don’t think that much about the choices I make. …show more content…
My second weakest point is time management.
That is because I don’t pay attention to the time when I do things. Then I get off track and start to stress and get frustrated and I try to manage my time but then I get caught up in other things and try to finis all my work but I start at different times. When I finally realize something my time is up and I get angry but for some reason I never learn and is always off time. Like when I get up for school I sit around on my hone for a second and when I’m finally done with stuff I don’t have time to get and I have to run out the house but I found a way to get myself on track and it helps me so I’m
improving. My strongest area is sales orientation. It’s that because I don’t talk that much to new people because I don’t know them and if I don’t know them then I won’t tell them my idea. Then if I’m not confident enough I’ll get shut down with the ideas I have and It might be a good idea but I get shy and talk low and I might not have a good idea. Also I don’t make that good of a impression sometimes because I dot really talk to people I don’t know and I don’t really like to talk if they don’t talk to me first so that really doesn’t set a good impression. Then with jobs if I’m working somewhere when I have to talk I actually do a pretty good job but when it comes to people that don’t have a god attitude I don’t cope well. My second strongest point is Empathy. That is so because I can listen well to people when they have to tell me something serious or emotional. Also because when people talk about pain full stuff I can feel their pain and relate somewhat and can give some good advice and help them with stuff. But sometimes I get inpatient when they talk and want them to get straight to the point and not sugar cote it and I understand if they do wait and I when they tell me stuff they know they have my attention and with class work if someone isn’t getting it I understand and help out and respond in a careful kind way. I let people know they can trust me but sometimes I don’t understand why people do what they do and I get angry and don’t say the right thing and I have things to improve on with that and understanding people.
There are a lot of actions I could take to improve my time management. I could turn off my phone to remove the possibility of distraction. When family or friends invite me to go somewhere, I should go instead of passing up the opportunity. If there happens to be any free time, that should be used to study or train...not sitting on my phone. In a way, I can connect to Tom Benecke because we don’t value the things that are important to us, but we should. Time management makes us well-rounded individuals and more productive as a whole in
I believe that everyone has their own strength and weaknesses, but not everyone is able to figure out their strengths and weaknesses correctly. Knowing our own strengths and weaknesses is essential because it can help to achieve success in anything we choose to do. For me, my weakness is the time management, communication skills and weak in preparing effective Curriculum Vitae (CV) Below will be further explaining all my personal weaknesses and the ways to overcome it.
After completing the Clifton strength finders test, I learned my dominant strengths and it gave me a sense on what areas I am strong in. It allows you to work in the areas that you are good in and not in the ones you might not be as strong in. My top five strengths were learner, connectedness, belief, positivity, and includer. A lot of these I figured I would have because I am an athlete and I love to be positive. That is good because I practice these strengths every day which in turn will make me better at them and will allow me to use them in my career.
These strengths and weaknesses were mainly discovered through the papers that we have written. I have many strengths when I’m writing papers and at the same time, I have many weaknesses. In my papers, I have noticed that one of my biggest strengths is how articulate I am. The papers that have been written by myself show that I structured sentences to present ideas in different ways. It is not straightforward and boring when ideas are presented. I like to keep the reader hooked on my paper. In order to keep up with this strength, I like to read articles. The articles I read are typically the ones that present new ideas or start arguments. This is one of my strengths that I am very proud
There are many ways to improve managing your time wisely and be accountable for it. The first step of improving your time wisely is to have a good rest the day before. By doing this you will have enough energy to last you the next following day. Also, sleeping late is not a good way of time management. Sleeping late will only result to not waking up on time and where you have to be. Sleeping will help both our body and mind to recover from the day’s activities. Another way of improving time management
One of my problems is time management. I don’t have a lot of time and I can barely find time for myself. I often hand in assignments late, because I get up early the next morning after the due date and do it. My days always start early and always finish late. A big part of my schedule is work. I do about 30 per week on average. I don’t really have a choice since my sister’s wedding is about 2 weeks away so I’m trying to make as much money as I can.
My top strength is Individualization. To me, this strength means the ability to figure people out and understand the true uniqueness of others. With this strength, I am able to make things run smoothly and, at the same time, able to involve everyone in a group. The next strength I have is strategic, which enables me to find alternative ways to deal with problems. Therefore, I am also able to make things run smoothly and according to plan. In addition to these two strengths, my third strength is competitive which measures how successful I am compared against others. This is great because it helps me to endure and work hard in order to make it to the top. My fourth strength is restorative which is a talent that helps me to deal with any problems that may arise and ensure that things continue going according to plan. This strength means that I can endure and overcome any adversity that comes my way. My last strength is achiever. This is a strength that helps me to work hard and always be productive. Being an achiever maintains my ability to always keep going and to constantly feel the need to be productive.
This problem influences my academic and personal life because I cannot manage my time correctly in order to be successful. Firstly I am not organized and I don’t have any plan to set and apply. This shows clearly the difficulty of my critical situation. I became to feel anxious and nervous all the time and also it affects on my grade. According to this I must change the way I deal with my time by changing the methodology and follow other time management strategies. The reality that I never have manage my time and now I regret deeply that I don’t have any schedule to follow then I realize that managing time is necessary and very important.
These are my strengths because when I am assigned an assignment with a due date I always make sure it is turned in on time. Also taking ownership of my own learning is a strength of mine, because when I do not do well on a test or assignment I always do my best to raise the grade. A weakness of mine in the soft skills category is small-group discussion, because I am not the type of person to talk to individuals easily.
Connect to the reading and the pie chart, the biggest space makes me have the problem time management is “Technical Errors”. It is holding 55 percent because it affects almost everything I do and it makes me have problem to done my work. Sometimes I don’t do my work until before the due day. I cannot control my time and my schedule to doing things. That’s why it messes up everything I want to do and my goal. Specifically, “Error # 6: You can’t remember what you have to do.”(21) This error always happens in anything I do. I always have too much things to think in my mind and remember it. For example, I’m in English, Math class now, it always has the homework every week, but sometimes I forget to do homework until the due day. That makes me stressed out. Besides the school, I have to remember my bills every month. It’s a part effect to my time management. I remember once time, I forgot to pay the bill. It was charged me over 25 dollars for paying late. Since that day, I begin to manage my time by writing all of things down in the calendar or put all the events in my phone. It will remind me few days before the due day that means I can finish and remember what I need to do. My problem is getting better and work well in my time management until now.
After completing the group task of preparing a presentation on, transferring individual facilitation skills into a group work setting I will critically reflect upon my own participation. I will evaluate my self-awareness while working in the group, as well as those around me. The way that I personally dealt with any issues that arose within the group and how that affected the group dynamics. I will also briefly discuss the roles in which each member of the group took and how role allocation affected, the group dynamics and the working relationships. Finally I will evaluate my work having discussed it with my fellow group members.
Realizing that a group can become a high performance team is important. Accomplishing this goal is invaluable, advantageous and profitable. Once able to operate from a group to the high performing team is a great step into preparation into the big business world. Leaders and members must also realize not only how to accomplish this but that some problems will and can arise from different demographic characteristics and cultural diversity. That is if one is in such a group, which the probability would be quite high.
My weakness is that I ask a lot questions. If I don’t understand an assignment I would want to ask questions in order for me to accomplish it the correct way.
The Importance of Group Work in Today's Organizations. It could be argued that in order to be successful, modern organisations must actively develop strong and cohesive work groups. Why do you need to be a member? Is it true that there is no room for the individual in today’s organisation? The rapid progression and improvement in information and communication technology has led to modern organisations finding new ways to work.
Learn to manage your time wisely. Plan ahead! Time management can help you stay calm and focused regardless of the current situation you are in.
