Elementary school is a very vital part in the growth of young minds. It is the place in which the mind first begins to develop skills and habits that will remain with people for the rest of their lives. If I could teach elementary school students one lesson, I would teach them how to be kind to others. Being kind to others will assist elementary students throughout every stage of life, therefore, making it a meaningful lesson. I would like to teach them this lesson because being kind to others always works in your favor. Being kind keeps people out of trouble, helps them make friends that come in handy later, and helps them understand one another. Moreover, I feel that teaching elementary students to be kind would be a very beneficial experience. The main reason people get in trouble is their lack of kindness. Those who get into trouble do not fully understand the concept of being kind to all. If you teach these people to be kind to one another when they are young, their minds will grow and develop with thoughts of kindness and care. Being kind keeps people out of trouble because when people are kind and calm, they minimize the risk of escalating a situation and making life harder for themselves and others. Having trustworthy friends is rare, nowadays, because people lack kindness and compassion. If you teach children how to be kind early in their lives, they will show kindness to others and develop strong, healthy relationships. Relationships are like houses. Relationships built on foundations of kindness and respect hold strongest in rough situations. Relationships without these foundations do not last, however, and deflate when situations become tough. These relationships provide many things. They provide moral support, situational support, and especially for students, academic
Kindness can really make a difference in a person's attitude. In “A Christmas Carol”, the Cratchits and Scrooge's nephew Fred show kindness to Scrooge, even though Scrooge showed quite the opposite to them. Or in “Thank you M’am”, when Ms. Jones makes Roger food and gives him money to buy his shoes, instead of reporting him to the police. Even in “Little Things Are Big”, when Jesus decides to help people even if he has to face prejudism. These stories all show turning points, and these examples show
Developing this relationship of trust between two individuals is key in a friendship. One example of this would be when William trusted Jamal to not tell others that he was working on writing with him. Jamal did not know William at first and vice versa but by spending time with one another through writing, they began to trust each other. Trusting other people can ease one's mind in certain times. Likewise when Jamal encouraged Forrester to shake off his fear of the outside world, trust was the only thing that got William to leave his apartment. (Bernardelli, 2001, 2). Friendships based on trust are solid friendships. Another movie example would be how Claire walked with Jamal to his classes and showed him around because he was a new student. Being new to any school nobody is familiar with other people so by her spending time with Jamal he began to trust her. According to Bernardelli (2001), Claire was a special character who becomes a special love interest for Jamal. (p.2). Through their friendly relationship they shared Jamal gained Claire’s trust because she was kind and nice to him. One can develop trust by spending time with
Every school's purpose is to teach children everything they need to know to be able to survive in the real world, it would be assumed that teaching children kindness would be part of it.
When making friends, you must choose the right ones by observing the person's qualities and how they behave. If the person behaves in a bad way, further away this person may lead you down the wrong path and get you into a lot of trouble. Incommensurate, If the person behaves in a good way, then they may be a good friend to have and lead you down the right path. Consequently, friendship is a very good thing to have with many positive and sadly, negative
There are many ways for how to promote positive behaviour with children and young people. It is important that children grow up to be good adults and therefore they have to learn from a young age how to behave in public. As a teacher it is important to be a role model to the children. Those children see you every day for a couple of hours and they see what you are doing.
... and that everyone matters. Our children's future and success will be enhanced by the use of appropriate behavior. Let us create an environment in our homes, schools, and churches where manners are taught and valued so that every child feels safe and becomes all they were created to be. A quote by William Arthur Ward makes people wonder whether they have been polite and good-mannered during the day: "God gave you a gift of 86, 400 seconds today. Have you used one to say thank you?"
A natural result of being loyal is being willing to forgive when friends or family make a mistake. No person can avoid mistakes, so if one friend is not willing to forgive another, the relationship is bound to come to an end sooner or later. I once had a friend who would not forgive me when I made an error that offended her, even though I realized my mistake and apologized. Because she was too angry to forgive, she and I, who were once very close, now rarely speak to each other. People who have lasting friendships are able to recognize that no one is perfect and that in order
It's not about giving people things, but more so about one’s daily gestures and what one says to everyone each day. Being kind might be tough at times but in the end avoiding a rude comment is much better than saying one. There are so many ways to show others that being kind is important so don’t be afraid to try some out. Looking into it further, if everyone in the world was kind, we could avoid conflicts from small fights on the streets to world wars because everyone would be able to communicate and compromise with one another in a civilized
Are we taught to be kind or do we grow into it? That is the question many have asked over time. Some may say you do not have to be taught kindness. Others might ask why you need to learn kindness, isn’t it something everyone is born with as a child. However, that is not the case, for example, If someone was raised to respect adults, they would grow into a very respectful person throughout their lives, compared to someone who has not.
Teens do this to help someone in need and they do this act of kindness because it is the right thing to do. If teens can spread kindness at school, then soon people will spread kindness all over the
Kindness is the key to most everything. Being kind means taking the high road, even when someone has wronged you. It means serving other people, even under inconvenient circumstances. It involves looking for the good in others, and even helping them to see the good in themselves. Kindness is spreading happiness to make other’s day better and by making them smile. Kindness is defending those who are picked on by others, sitting by those who are lonely, and saying hi to someone in the hall. Kindness is being someone who wants to build up those around them.
If one person holds the door open for somebody else, basically, the receiver of the kind act is benefitting by not having to open the door. Although the example sounds very simple, the act is still helping somebody. If people did not hold the door open in the modern day society, the combined amount of times one would have to open the door would be significant. Secondly, showing kindness builds character. If somebody shows kindness, the people around would start to see the type of person the giver is. Good character is very important in life, and it will earn somebody a lot in life. On the third hand, there is always an opportunity to show kindness. Showing kindness every day is a very good habit to develop, and it would start to make somebody a better person. Every act of kindness will benefit others, and kindness is a great way to bring people
A good friend may not have all these traits. If someone is a gossip, you shouldn't get too close with him or her. If they are known for betrayal and being dishonest you should think about it and probably take one step away from them. According to the site “Being Friends,” friends should listen to each other, not put each other down to hurt one another, understand each others feelings, disagree without hurting each other, and be dependable and trustworthy. When finding friends you should look out for the good and the bad. See which traits are most important to you and make sure your friends have more good than bad traits. This will create compatible friends for you who hopefully remain with you for a lifetime!

The meaning and implementation of the word pedagogy is debated throughout the educational world, and there are many influential educational theorists whose views throughout this report will be reflected on. These views will influence the critique of numerous pedagogical documents within both state and national frameworks, such as the ‘Yachad Accelerated Learning Project’ (YALP) and the ‘e5 model’ created by the department of education. The main reflection points of these documents will be how they differ or align with three influential educational theorists and what areas of these theorists ideas are either strengthened or silenced due to the construction of these documents.
