In this task I am going to be talking to you about the way my two organisations which are Tesco and British Heart foundation fulfil their purpose. I will also be including the way that the departments work together or individually to achieve the aims and objectives of the business including the business purpose. I will be extending the task be explaining what value statement and mission statement are and also the way that S.M.A.R.T objectives are used by organisations. Business use S.M.A.R.T objectives as a way to help them evaluate their aims and objectives, and see whether their aims are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timed.

Tesco wants go into other markets because they would be bringing in more customers, which are going to increase profit. They also have another aim which is to expand internationally because they already operate within the Europe. They have to set themselves new aims and objectives that are harder to achieve as it’s the expanding further.
The marketing department advertise for Tesco in hope of getting more customers. They could advertise through the TV, newspaper and online. This would have a positive impact on Tesco international expansion because they would be reaching possible future customers faster.
The chain of command is really important in Tesco as it away to pass information around the organisation. For instance, employees pass their reports to assistant manager and then it passed to manger which eventually it’s given to the chief executives. British Heart Foundation

The British Heart Foundation organizes fundraising for the main purpose of trying to make people aware of their cause and the risks of cardiovascular diseases. They do different types of events like bike rides, marathons, skydiving and many more. During the fundraising they raise money so that they could provide funding for goals.
They aim to make changes and improve the lives of those that are struggling with cardiovascular disease. For this to be done the British Heart Foundation needs to raise the money that could enable them into having the right funding, providing them with the right service for their cause. However, their funding doesn’t only come from events they also sell seconds hand products which is donated. An organisation’s mission is the back bone of all strategic decisions; the mission will have an influence on all activities performed within the organisation, because if they aren’t achieving their mission an organisation is failing. The long term strategic goals of an organisation should directly aim to achieve their mission and these goals are what performance can be measured off.
