One of the most valuable aspects of the education system in the United States is the amount of aid provided for students who need it. Various aspiring students long for the opportunities this country bestows its citizens. Due to my own necessity of these opportunities, I believe it would be wonderful to take advantage of the Summer Scholars Program. The program would be of great benefit to my future and is most definitely one of many open doors leading to the future I am seeking. In the proceeding five years I would like to accomplish a number of things. One of the most important goals for me at the moment would be graduating high school and moving forward to graduate from a four year university in the state of Nebraska. In order for me to achieving this, the way I move forward in high school is critical. Throughout my years of high school I have focused much of my attention on taking classes that are either advanced, or at college level. I have taken two AP courses and one dual enrollment course, along with numerous honors classes in my three years as a high school student. Throughout my life, I have always struggled with overcoming my shyness and expanding my relationships. I adore making new friends, and I am such a welcoming and open person. However, I often find myself becoming shy and nervous around new people or in front of a group of people. Once I lose the nerves and my timidness, I am able to present who I truly am: positive, joking, and fun. I believe taking part of this summer program would give me the chance to practice my social abilities further and enhance my confidence. I would be excited to meet new people, and I would love an opportunity to keep practicing my communication
