Stress Relief in the office
Stress has always been a problem in the office and it can lead to an unproductive employee. The work day for employees does consist of a standard day of eight to five with coffee breaks and lunch at noon. The day is chaotic with meetings in multiple locations and crammed back to back. The employee is pulled in multiple directions with different projects, several mangers, and the stress of success. This does not prove to be a good environment for employees to perform their prime work. Innovative companies like Google … (fill in more here) are looking out for the health of their employees. This can be done several ways through…(fill in more here). A stress free office can help with productivity along with better recruiting, lower employee turnover and (fill in more here). So relax and let us look at several inexpensive simple ways to improve the culture and feel of the office for optimal employee success.
One of the first ways to relive stress that a lot of people put off when they are busy is exercise. In the Journal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences says that exercise will, “Help to relax and keep mind off things that cause stress.”1 The Journal goes on to say that exercises like cycling, jogging, walking, and light aerobics are great ways to de-stress1. The Society of Behavioral Medicine looked at the how exercise counters the effects of stress. When they were studying they saw that it does help to exercise but the intensity does not matter it is the amount of exercise that you get.2
So how do offices start motivating employees to start exercising more One of the first moves that they can make is setting up an area for employees to go for a walk. This could be a new path around the office building or...
