Nothing is scarier than turning eighteen and becoming an adult. You must do adult things like paying your own bills, cooking your own food and finding your own place. No one explains anything when you were younger how to be an adult. Finding a great can be very daunting experience here are a few tips on getting a great place for the best deal. You need to check your credit score, find a place and walkthrough the apartment. I know what you’re thinking “I am young, what is credit?” Your score may not be good it maybe great but it is very helpful to know. There are many sites that are free to check your credit score such as Credit Karma or Credit Sesame. More than of the time the landlord will check your score and look for evictions. If you know your own numbers then you will have the confidence to strike a great deal. If your score is bad don’t give up there are options for you too. There are private landlords or even public housing. Public housing is an option for low-income or displaced people. Use a secure site like Zillow or Apartment.com If you feel brave enough you can try Craigslist but I don’t recommend it at all. There has been too much crime for instance a couple was murdered while trying to buy a car. Now I know what you’re thinking newspaper who reads the newspaper any more beside my grandparents. Well it’s a great place to catch a deal they have pictures and info neatly placed in the classifieds. You can also go to a relator office get a list and maybe even hire one to find an apartment.
