1. 1. Completing my Bachelor’s degree is my short one term academic goal. My short-term career goal is during the summer to gain an internship with Pilgrim’s Pride. Not only am I planning on taking an internship with Pilgrim's Pride, but also I am hoping to secure a season job as Summer Inclusion Counselor. In the fall, I also want to secure an internship with Student Leadership and Service department at Meredith College. My final semester at Meredith College will be spent serving as senator for the Class of 2016. I refuse to conclude my Bachelor's degree in a mediocre way; as a result, I am anticipating achieving the Magna Cum Laude distinction of maintaining an overall 3.7 GPA at Meredith College. In order to achieve this I must earn 4.0 during each of my remaining semesters. This academic distinction will also aid when I attempt a Master’s degree. After my final semester I want to explore my interest in banking by looking to secure a personal banker for Capital Bank. In the long five year term, I shall pursue a career as a loan officer or a financial advisor underwriter. My long term academic goal is to pursue a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at the Meredith College. My combination of love for occupations and academics indicates my funding for a scholarship for Latina …show more content…
2. A scholarship in the amount of $15,000 from the Tomorrow Fund for Hispanic Students will help me achieve these goals by providing financial assistance. Additional financial assistance designates me to complete my Bachelor’s degree in a timely manner. Last semester, I had to take a semester off due to lack of financial assistance. Taking this semester off meant that I had to drop earning two Bachelor’s degrees. If I receive this financial assistance, I can concentrate on education and not be worried about affording Meredith College. If I do not receive this award, I will have to postpone completing my Bachelor’s degree for another year, and coming back would become more
Unfortunately, my family and I fall into an area of the middle class that prohibits us from receiving need-based aid. Although I have graciously been awarded the Elizabeth Ann Seton Scholarship, without some additional form of aid, a Seton Hill education may be prohibitively expensive. My fourth year’s tuition alone would cost $37,520 with my current scholarship, and I would still have to pay for living expenses. Once my undergraduate and fifth years’ expenses are included, I will be over $150,000 in debt when I graduate. As a student who has worked exceedingly hard in the classroom and as a leader for four years, this amount of financial burden feels like a punishment. If I do not receive the Seton Scholar Award, I am not confident that I can attend Seton Hill and make the impacts I have described in this
I know that through my hard work and dedication I can make my goals a reality. However, it may not be possible without these Scholarships. While my parents will help me in any way they can, I am hoping that my hard work and dedication to my studies pays off. I am a very self-driven individual who will accomplish any goal I set my mind on achieving. I am also aware of how without scholarships I may face a financial setback. I am hoping that through the help of scholarships I will be able to achieve all my goals in a timely

I have known from an early age that I’ve wanted to become a doctor. Helping people has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, after working with young children I have found that I love working with them, and have a connection with children. Currently, I am interested in becoming either a neonatologist or a general pediatrician so I can continue to work with young children.
My ultimate value is my family. My vision for my own self is to live happily with my family in the future. I love to spend my spare time with them. Hanging around with friends and family make me feel well. I love to play on computer. I also love to play with the magical numbers. My goal is to become a businessperson. I believe doing business is an important way to improve the economy of a nation. I did a research on two different careers. However, they are sort of having a relation with each other. Both of them are in the business field – accounting and financial analyzing.
I am applying for this scholarship to help me pay for college. As everyone knows it is very expensive and sometimes hard to pay for all the things involved. My family is doing everything they can to help pay for my college. One of the biggest obstacles we have faced is applying for the FAFSA. My parents do make a lot of money, but they both have student loans they have to pay. My mom has two majors so she has a lot of money to pay back to school. While applying to FAFSA, these factors are not taken into consideration so we did not get as much money as we had hoped. If I am selected to win this scholarship, it would be greatly appreciated and would help me in many ways to continue my education.

For as long as I could remember, I have wanted to help improve peoples’ lives. Whether it is giving advice to students, or serving as a role model for my siblings, helping others has been a second nature in my life. I hope to use the Courage To Grow Scholarship to help pursue my dreams. Although, the cost of higher education continues to increase yearly, unfortunately, scholarships do not adjust to cover the cost of inflation. As a result, students like myself are in a position where we are close to graduating, but may lack the sufficient funds in order to pay for our courses. I am one year away from graduating, and one away from achieving my first dream. From spending countless nights studying to writing papers, I have come too far only come
Entering my senior year in 2017, I find myself dealing with a financial obstacle impeding me from finishing my last semester of undergraduate studies. Despite being awarded a merit-based partial scholarship from my university, which has helped reduce the tuition costs to almost match that of an in-state student, I would be required to obtain a second student loan in order to finish my studies. By receiving the La Unidad Latina National Scholarship, I will be able to fund my education and achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. What are your career goals?
It will allow continuing helping the community by volunteering at the hospital during academic studies. In general, the scholarship assistance will fill the financial difficulties gap and will allow being successful in my higher education long-term goals. Jesus taught the whole world that if you get to benefit from the community, you always remember and generous to the community. The scholarship will teach me as a philanthropic person to help others when I become financially able to donate. I came from a long journey to be able to admit to the University of Arizona pharmacy college.
Due to this scholarship’s assistance, I have been able to devote time and energy to achieve academic excellence. For example, I was able to finish the semester with a 4.00 GPA in the University Honors Program, and I received the Dean’s List Presidential Honors Award. Additionally, I have also been active in my school and community by becoming a research assistant in a clinical research lab testing HIV patients and a peer educator for UAB’s Student Health and Wellness Center. I am also on the editorial and review board for Sanctuary Literary Journal.
I have never received less than a 4.0 and always take the most challenging courses available to me. Plus, I have already taken quite a few college classes, which shows my dedication to my college career and that I will use the money efficiently. Also, since I am staying in Topeka for college, the money that this scholarship provides to me will be put right back into bettering our local community. This money will help with making my course payments easier, since I have to pay for all of my own college education. I also show that I am an efficient money spender, since I have based my college choices by how much money I can save.
My ideal career would allow me to do something that interests me. I enjoy working with words and with numbers. I've also had success in the areas of technology and customer service.
It has been my craving in every aspect of life to do things differently, chart my own path and tread in to uncharted territory. Nine years back, this what made me join a course in bachelor of marine engineering at MERI, the only institute in India exclusively offering such a course. Idea of venturing in to high sees, braving the storms with only handful of resources and almost completely cut off from out side world made adrenaline pumping in to my veins. All this along with opportunity to get exposure to highly sophisticated systems on board ships, which was fodder for my technical bent of mind seemed perfect for my adventure seeking personality. Through out my career progression I have made such decisions like joining LNG shipping pool of my company and seeking extra professional qualification of eligibility to sail on diesel engine driven as well as turbine driven ships
