My ultimate value is my family. My vision for my own self is to live happily with my family in the future. I love to spend my spare time with them. Hanging around with friends and family make me feel well. I love to play on computer. I also love to play with the magical numbers. I like surfing on the internet, exploring new things, reading articles related with health, life, and economic events such as the stock market, financial companies, investment corporations, etc. I think being a citizen of a country, we should somewhat at different aspects of life to better know how well or bad the economy of our country is experiencing. My goal is to become a businessperson. I believe doing business is an important way to improve the economy of a nation. I did a research on two different careers. However, they are sort of having a relation with each other. Both of them are in the business field – accounting and financial analyzing. Accounting is basically a service activity. Its purpose is to provide quantitative information that principally used by the managers, investors, tax authorities, and other decision makers to make the financial decisions within companies, organizations, and public agencies. Accounting is also widely known as the “language of business.” An accountant measures, communicates, and interprets financial activities. They prepare financial statements or reports for individuals, businesses, government agencies, or other non-profit organizations. They use the accounting systems to categorize the expenses and income to the typical groups. They also keep tract of the money received or paid out to see if the transactions are accurate and complete. Accountants are familiar with the computer operation. They use the computer... ... middle of paper ... ...ompanies to believe that the result they will get if they follow this path. These two professions require to use the critical thinking to think logically. They use their numbers by giving the facts and their hard working on the market research as the solid statements to prove their points. I may possibly suit for these. I love math. I like to play with numbers. I have a broad knowledge in operating the computer as well as the Microsoft Offices. It suits my goal. You can be self-employed. You can control your time. Although they can work under the highly pressure environment because of the deadlines required by the clients or the projects you are working on. If you know how to manage time, put time to work wisely, you already pass the obstacle in front of you. Having a balanced life between working and relaxing will help you making a big jump in your successful career.
The career I wish to pursue is that of a stockbroker. I am extremely interested in the trading of stocks and financial holdings so the career of a stockbroker just seems to fit in with my overall plan. Numbers have also always been a fascination of mine and the trends of the economy and long term financial outlooks have often interested me greatly. Stock broking is a risky business that one needs to be prepared for highs and lows if choosing to pursue. You must understand what a stockbroker truly does to even begin to follow this as a life long career.
Finding a career that is adequate for me in life can be a difficult challenge. Since I was a little my dream job was to continue the family business back home in Ohio. Many people choose their degrees because they do not know what they want. I am very sure that the degree that I have chosen is the right one for me, which is Business and Administration. I am now attending County Community College and I wish to end my Associate Degree here in two years. After I achieve my A.A. degree at County Community College, I want to transfer to University Of Central Florida to finish my Bachelors Degree. In this paper, I will discuss the overview of my selected four-year School, the university major requirements, the transfer preparations, the career I will pursue after graduation and the interview.
I began this class not having a clear idea on what career I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. I often asked myself “What job will I have when I grow up?”. Ever since I was a little girl, I thought I wanted to become a doctor. After taking biology, genetics, and biochemistry, I quickly realized that being biology major was not for me. I then changed my major to exercise science. I searched for the possible career choices for exercise science and became interested in Physical therapy and physician Assistant. I was still confused on my career choice, so I decided to enroll into a career development class. I wanted to know what careers might better suit me.
Super’s theory of career choice focuses on five different life stages. At each stage different experiences and decisions influence and shape persons working lives. These five life stages include; growth (birth-14), exploration (15-24), establishment (25-44), Maintenance (45-64), Decline (65+) (Kleynhans, 2006). An example of this theory prescribes by personal development map since, the growth stage in which I developed a passion for accounting. The exploration stage is when I found a job ,as a accountant clerk to a construction company and until my 24 years old ,I have changed another job as an accountant in Alexander the Great Hotel and at the same time I was study ACCA . In the meanwhile, I became a mother so my priorities have been changed and I stopped my studies.‘Women have split dreams” (Josselso 1978,Roberts and Newton 1986 ),so I stopped my studies for a whole.
I am currently majoring in Finance at Carlson School of Management, and I have decided to explore the career and future growth of a financial analyst. I chose to explore this career because some of my cousins work in this field and I’m interested in numbers and analysis. I also have an interest in following the stock market and working in a stimulating environment. What sets me apart from others is that I’m able to use time management efficiently. I’m able to study and complete major assignments while still finding plenty of time to socialize with others. Having taken StrengthsQuest last year, I learned that I strive for the future, I’m often positive, and I’m a believer in harmony. I believe in consistency, the idea that all people should

Economics is the term used to describe the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. In addition, economics is the study of scarcity, Our economy is important because it gives us an opportunity to understand better, how business, society, and the world are doing overall financially. Our economy as it stands now is barely standing. The government is in debt by trillions, and furthermore, This means an increased competitive job market. However, one needs to consider many different factors when choosing a career to give them the best chance of being happy and fulfilled. People need to ask themselves, will the job fit my personality? Will I have to travel or relocate? Can I physically do it, and what is the compensation? There are many questions to ask in each of these categories. Personality traits like being outgoing, sociable, and helpful are great for childcare, doctors, or in the service industry. People that have detail-oriented personalities might enjoy banking or accounting. For the creative personality, there are painters, musicians, and actors. People must also look at the physical demands. Will you enjoy the hard labor of a contractor, or would you rather sit at the desk of an architect, or do you prefer somewhere in between such as a biologist who spends half their time in the field. Will you need to travel a lot like a pilot or relocate where opportunities in the selected field are greater? Do you want to be largely on your own such as a freelance writer? Do you work better supervised, or would you rather be the supervisor? Then there is the question of compensation. Do you want the five-figure salary? or can you be happy with a median salary? Our career decision affects us for the...
Accounting itself is a system that people has been using for thousands of years, the system records financial information about a person or business, businesses use it in order to be able to keep and track their financial accounts and other financial information in a safe and efficient way. As part of the assignment for this chapter I recognized and prioritized my education, career, life goals. This was an interesting exercise because it made me analyze my goals which I had not done in a long time. I conceded my goals as follows; Education: graduate with a BAAS in the Fall of 2017 semester, start a Master degree in the Spring of 2018, graduate with a Master degree by Fall of 2021. Career: achieve a higher level in my position (via training, certification, etc.) by April of 2017, find a career that will provide a more personal satisfaction by 2018. Life: spend more time with my daughters, travel to Europe, be more financially stable, buy a new home, travel to Hawaii. The education, career and life goals are in a priority order to which I am planning to achieve each one of them moreover. People change their priorities, and I am not an exception, but I have two daughters that depend on me, so my main concerns have changed related to education, career and life goals. I compared these recent goals listed above with the goals that I set for myself ten years ago, a reasonable number

Ever wondered what it is that compels people toward a certain career, or why they excel at certain things they might enjoy? Certain careers that an individual might enjoy and excel at often depends on their personality type, as well as their interests and income requirements. My personality type is labeled as INTJ- Architect- and it fits me completely, as the career I am looking for is an Architect (16Personalities). Although the time it would take before I could follow up on the career to be an architect is about half a decade, it would meet my income requirements as well as my interests in building/constructing and strategic planning. It also would be something I would thoroughly enjoy- which in turn will affect my performance positively.
My ideal career would allow me to do something that interests me. I enjoy working with words and with numbers. I've also had success in the areas of technology and customer service.
However, I am still not 100% certain what I want to do for a career. In finance, there are so many options to consider. For example, I’ve looked into being a financial manager, an investment banker, or even a corporate lawyer. If I were to choose financial management as my career, the latest Internet trends impact that industry tremendously. When managing funds for a company, I would have access to all the information I need at my fingertips. However, I would need to pay careful attention to how e-commerce affects the company’s and the competition’s customers. Also, with all the information so accessible, people are finding ways to manage their money without the help of professionals. This could lead to a drop in demand for financial planners and managers. I, personally, don’t feel like this will be a huge issue since people will always need advice on saving for retirement or allocating their wealth. However, it is something to be aware of and might affect my career decision later on down the road. On the other end of the
