Transition of Power: Sherwood Middle School's New Vice Principal

In early September the students of Sherwood Middle School and parents were shocked. When it was announced by the the district that Sherwood Middle School would be getting a new vice principal. The school board announced that Sherwood Middle School’s vice principal for the last two years, Mr. Kevin McIntosh. Would be leaving and would be replaced by a young man named Marc Jolley.

This new change affected both parents and students. Both students and parents were very perturbed. Since Mr.McIntosh had been the vice principal for so long. This new and very sudden change was unexpected and flabbergasting. One mom, Carolyn Thomson, says, “I was surprised by the news. Mr. McIntosh seemed really nice and happy. He did not seem he was not settling in.” And most parents seemed to have the same reaction. It seems like parents and students are demanding an explanation. Jolley exactly?’ Well Mr. Marc Jolley began teaching in the year 2000. At Tigard-Tualatin High School and spent the next 11 years serving as a language arts teacher. Marc Jolley soon switched over to Sherwood Middle School District after being hired to be their new Vice Principal. Since their former Vice Principal, Kevin McIntosh resigned in June. “I am excited to be a part of the incredible staff and community of the Sherwood School District” states Jolley. Who is now a proud member of the Sherwood School District.

And now for the bigger question that has been boggling parents minds. Why in the world did Mr. McIntosh leave? Kevin McIntosh resigned in June. Because, he got a job offer outside of Oregon.
