I saw the previous group of kids walking down the hallway, they looked frightened and terrified. My anxiousness soon turned to me worrying too much about the exam. After a not so long wait, the teachers said “Go and walk with those group of kids to room eleven.” I slowly began to walk down the very quiet and undisturbed hallway. As I am walking, I could hear some kids talking about a team task and they had said something about the team task, but I didn't hear it. It was mumbled because of their sweater. While I was walking towards room eleven the teacher stopped me and told me to wait. I was very frustrated now, I had to wait for so long and then they tell me to wait even longer. Finally, they told me to go inside the room and sit at the table on the right side of the classroom. I was basically sprinting, I just wanted to start the assessment.
I quickly rushed to the table and tried to get the task done quicker. Surprisingly Harsh was in my group, I was not expecting this at all. We were in the same class in

Your task is to build the tallest tower possible with the marshmallow on the top. You will have forty minutes to build your tower, your time starts now.” We were in a group of four so we split our work evenly. We first had made a plan by having our structure based off a pyramid, as it is one of the strongest structures in our generation. We started building right away, I couldn’t work to my best ability. The pressure was giving me a hard time and I couldn’t even contribute any ideas after we started building the structure. My legs were trembling and I could barely stand. I took a seat and decided to help make the base of our structure even stronger. While doing this, I got dizzy and I felt as if I was on a crazy rollercoaster. I fell backwards and I hit my head against the chair and it made a huge “BOOM” sound. I eventually passed out after a couple of

In her novel, Room, Emma Donoghue incorporates the many physical and mental health effects of living in captivity for an extended period of time. While physical ailments such as vulnerability to disease and malnutrition quickly come to mind, mental disorders such as post traumatic stress disorder and depression are far more deleterious to the characters.
Children develop normally by stimulation and from the experiences around them. Usually when a child is shut out from the world they will become developmentally delayed, but that is not the case with Jack. In the novel Room by Emma Donoghue, Jacks mother, Ma, has been kidnapped and held prisoner in a shed for seven years and five year old Jack was born there. This room is the only world he knows. But, despite being locked in a room for the first five years of his life, according to the four main points of development, Jack has developed normally intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
It was like sliding down a vertical stick. I had to squeeze my arms to my chest and keep my clenched feet together. I was screaming so hard, I had a sore throat the next day. But I wasn't screaming from pain or freight but excitement.
Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own Though published seventy years ago, Virginia Woolf's A Room of One's Own holds no less appeal today than it did then. Modern women writers look to Woolf as a prophet of inspiration. In November of 1929, Woolf wrote to her friend G. Lowes Dickinson that she penned the book because she "wanted to encourage the young women–they seem to get frightfully depressed" (xiv). The irony here, of course, is that Woolf herself eventually grew so depressed and discouraged that she killed herself.
A scream echoed through the empty hallways of County High School as we heard the news. How did that happen to me?" I thought to myself. This had to have been planned out previously by someone. This event was the Student Government elections held last year, my sophomore year.
Summary: In the quiet town of Malgudi, in the 1930's, there lived Savitri and her husband, Ramani. They lived with their three children, Babu, Kamala, and Sumati. Savitri was raised with certain traditional values that came into internal conflict when she took Ramani, a modern executive, as her husband. Savitri has endured a lot of humiliations from her temperamental husband and she always puts up with his many tantrums. To find solace and escapism, she takes refuge in 'the dark room', a musty, unlit, storeroom in the house. But when Ramani takes on a beautiful new employer, Savitri finds out that her husband has more than a professional interest in the woman. So, at first, she tries to retreat to her dark room. But she realises that hiding in there won't help. So she tries to leave the house. She stayed with a friend in another village. But after staying there for some time, she can't help but think of her husband and their children. What would happen to them? After doing a lot of thinking, she finally decides to go back home. In the end, Ramani has finally stopped seeing Shanta Bai, the other woman, and I guess you could say it's a happy ending. It's now up to you to go and guess the rest. Savitri is very much real. She is basically quite like most people. They treat problems like that. They find ways to escape it. Like booze, drugs, suicide, etc. In Servitor¡¯s case, she stays in the dark room, and finally, leaves her family. As I was reading "The Dark Room¡±, I felt compassion towards Savitri. I can clearly see that she was a confused woman. It was depicted through the first part of the story wherein her son was ill and she told Babu, her son, not to go to school that day. But Ramani intruded upon them and said that Babu has to go to school and that his illness is merely a headache. Savitri didn't know what to do then. She was concerned for Babu¡¯s health, but at the same time, she didn't want to argue with Ramani. In the end, Babu had gone off to school. As for Ramani, I felt like shouting at him while reading the novel because of his bullying.
Get to block one, geometry… I quickly walk through the halls to find Room 421. One more time I’m late to class, I have detention. Once I find Room 421, I run just in time before Mr Thacker closes the door. “For once, this week, you make it just in time,” Mr Thacker mutters.
As I entered the classroom, I took out my notes and sat down just as every student does before being handed the test. I quickly skimmed through the information two times before she could come around to placing the test on my desk. I put down the sheet on my bookbag located at the side of my desk just like any other student, then commenced my test. The test was just as I made it out to be, troublesome
Everyone has their own, personal place to have alone time and clear their heads. For me, that place is my bedroom in my apartment. My room is the one place where I feel most nostalgic and comfortable; its’ a comfort that can’t be replaced. My bedroom is my favorite room in my apartment because I always have my privacy there, and I feel like it shows my personal style, which I love.
Work together to see who can build the tallest tower in the time provided. You may only use the materials inside of the construction bag (not the bag itself). The marshmallow must be at the very top of the tower. You will only have 10 minutes to construct your tower, which must be able to stand on its own for five seconds without falling and without anything supporting it. At the end of 10 minutes, you will be told to stop building.
As I turned in circles trying to figure out where I was, I heard a soft voice in the background. I couldn’t find where it was coming from, but it was talking to me, calling my name. I was standing in the middle of the floor lost and confused then I heard the sound of heels walking softly behind me..
When I first got to the classroom the students were doing a listening exercise and had to answer same question the teacher wrote on the board. At a certain time they all were allowed to go to the bathroom. Each student was given a responsibility in the classroom.
After three hours we arrived at our first break stop. We stopped at a section that was on top of the waterfall. The view was amazing and spectacular because we had never seen anything like this. As we continued our hike after several more break stops, and nine more hours of hiking, we finally arrived at the top of El Capitan. Once we got to the top the view was amazing. We could not imagine how beautiful it was up there on top of the world. After about half an hour we started heading back down, when all of a sudden out of no where I felt someone push me out of the way. A man that was in a hurry to get back down pushed me so hard, that I lost my balance and fell of a twenty foot cliff. At that moment in time I could see flashbacks of my life. After a couple seconds of falling I somehow landed between two rocks which shattered my right foot. After that happen every one that was there tried to get help but unfortunately cell phones do not work in Yosemite, but the man that pushed me over the cliff had a walky-talky and he called for help.
They teachers were not familiar with me. When I met teachers, it was quick intro for AIS. I sent email to staff by error – one time- because I did not know the staff members well. Without knowing the rules for the building or clarity to know the format for which staff respond to request, I did my best to try to do the work assigned. I felt it was a test of some type.
