This is my personal note and apologies. I want to always think the best of others and reflect that in all I do. I take my employment and the brief opportunity to start at FCV very seriously. I do apologize for typos and sending email to the wrong people one time. I have been learning people and the system. I did the best I could and have been making the adjustments as quickly as I am learning. Now that I have graduated, things have settled down a bit. I have taken the responsibility for what is within my power to change and improve. Despite some blind spots coming in when I did into FCV, My goal remains to have a strong end this school year. I am grateful for the opportunity to be here and be a part of your team. I am excited about …show more content…
They teachers were not familiar with me. When I met teachers, it was quick intro for AIS. I sent email to staff by error – one time- because I did not know the staff members well. Without knowing the rules for the building or clarity to know the format for which staff respond to request, I did my best to try to do the work assigned. I felt it was a test of some type. However, I had not been given the information before the test was given to me. I was immediately held accountable for my errors in making the effort. • I was assigned to become TOR walked under unclear circumstances and then cases were closed quickly without prior information given or training conducted about district guidelines. Then, I was reprimanded about it and cases taken away. I was not given time to make the adjustments. I did not even know it was a tests of some • A student was assigned to me about his behavioral concerns not health related concerns. I found out about it from my own observations and the student making statements. Later, I found that information was available, the Nurse did have specific instructions about the student and they were aware of his condition. I received the tool after the
Many people have gone through their lives conforming their beliefs and practices for the sake of fitting in or for the happiness of others, but Socrates was not one of these people. In “The Apology” Plato shows Socrates unwillingness to conform through a speech given by Socrates while on trial for supposedly corrupting the youth of Athens and believing in false gods. Although the title of the dialogue was labeled “The Apology,” Socrates’ speech was anything but that, it was a defense of himself and his content along his philosophical journey. At no time during the trial was Socrates willing to change his ways in order to avoid punishment, two reasons being his loyalty to his God and his philosophical way of life.
In the book of Apology, Socrates was mistakenly accused, and the accusation went as follows: "Socrates is an evil-doer who corrupts the youth, and who does not believe in the gods whom the city believes in, but in other new divinities"(Plato 9). During the trial, he denied all the accusations. He denied the would-be corruption of the youth and disclaimed his alleged disbelief in the gods of the Athenian state. However, he was still put in prison unjustly because the elaw had been incorrectly applied. Crito was a book after Apology. It was a dialogue from the main characters Socrates and his friend Crito. The main theme of the book of Crito is about whether Socrates should break the law and escape from execution, or stay and accept his death
The main argument in The Apology by famous ancient Greek philosopher Plato is whether, notorious speaker and philosopher Socrates is corrupting the youth by preaching ungodly theories and teaching them unlawful ideas that do harm to individuals and society. In his words Socrates quoted the prosecution’s accusation against him: “Socrates is guilty of corrupting the minds of the young, and of believing in supernatural things of his own invention instead of the gods recognized by the state.” 1 Further Socrates consistently introduces tediously compiled number of examples to provide valid and sound arguments to prove that he is innocent of the charges brought up against him to the court.
The author of “The Apology,” Benjamin Jowett, supports his ideas of Socrates by explaining the judgmental views that were made towards Socrates. Socrates is forced to face the jury of Athens due to his gadfly role on the streets on Athens. The citizens of Athens were willing to tolerate persons who could give persuasive speeches and make great shows of rhetoric, but they had no room for Socrates, who was questioning and investigations threatened to undermine a public culture of conformity to traditional authority. Eventually, the practice of philosophy cost Socrates his life. “I would have you know, if you kill such a one as I am, you will injure yourselves more than you will injure me,” Socrates states. Socrates thought that no good man could be harmed; as long as you are doing good then harm cannot affect you. Socrates was told he was the smartest man in Athens, which motivated him to go on the streets to prove he was not. The author proves this point by stating what Socrates says to the jury, “Here is a man who is wiser than I am but you said that I was the wisest.” Socrates went...
As our first year of apologetic class, we started out with the basic idea of apologetics. The root word of apologetic, apologia, means “ To speak in defense “ and it is often used in religious matters. The purpose of apologetic is to give a solid and valid defense against the questions that are thrown against the christian society. We give such defense by stating the facts that provide support to the christian statements and views. As a christian, we are supposed to be able to explain our faith as it is said in 1 Peter 3:15 “ But in your heart set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give answer to everyone who asks you to give reasons for the hope that you have. But do it with gentleness and respect.”. We defend our faith not only to have a solid base, but also in order to help those who are in search for truth.
“I’m sorry” is said to be a phrase most women are familiar with. In particular, studies have shown that, in fact, women do apologize more than men in circumstances where they may either be the culprit or the victim. Earlier this year, Pantene has created the commercial advertisement, “Not Sorry”, which begins by depicting the powerless roles that women play in society and, then, ending with a self-empowering motive for all women to follow. The advertisement voices a clear message for all women to “be strong and shine”, particularly, in the presence of men. Demonstrated throughout Andi Zeisler’s article, “Worst Sales Pitch Ever”, feminism is noted of being fostered in modern day advertisements. Pantene’s “Not Sorry” advertisement focuses primarily
I hope that you can see my education and future are advancing as we speak. This doesn’t mean I haven’t had a few bumps in the road, because I have. Actually, some of the bumps have unfortunately been financial aid. But, I am growing. It is a day to day continual experience of growth and it’s exciting for me to see where it takes me. Again, thank you for this opportunity and all the work you do as an organization.
The responsibility of the existing government bears for its historical misconduct of “Japanese’s American Civilians” & “The Bureau of Indian Affairs giving an apology to both civilians. The government today look back in the past were the United States enforced its ambition against civilians remove them out of their homes by threat, deceit, and force. And now sees the burdens of their agency’s history. The United States gave a speech for equality and forgiveness.
Dear Professor, I want to take this opportunity to deliver my sincere apology to your due to my inappropriate actions. Education and learning is emphasized as very important and in fact sacred in my family and I take it very seriously. However as I entered the university and got overwhelmed by the amount of time and work it takes, I made a mistake that I regret very much. I am ashamed of myself for cheating; it is certainly not something that I am used to but as I explained I felt overwhelmed and found cheating the easy way out. I understand how my actions must have offended you as an educator because you work so hard to teach the students but must be disappointed when students try to take advantage and fake learning by cheating like I did.
The big year, Senior year. This year has gone by super fast, almost to fast. The highlight of this year was taking 4 Ag classes. Brasser and Buttram have made my senior year. They have taught me more in one year than I have in 3. Brasser was in the service for a long time, so i'm telling us his stories were crazy. I learned how to use power tools and build a shed. Buttram convinced me to try FFA, I was open to try new things so I did it. It was my first year and I improve at every meet. We were a team of 4 and only 3 showed up so basically we can’t move on from districts because our scores wouldn’t be enough. I still had a great time and got a lot of experience to take with me. I wish I was in an Ag class freshman year. Basketball season wasn’t

Political apologies are sometimes described as “acts of recognition”. What is being recognised and what political purpose does this recognition serve? Introduction Apology as a method of addressing past injustice has become a global phenomenon especially since the end of the Cold War (Smits 2008; Borneman 2005; Lazare 2004). Political apologies are a symbolic act that involve the recognition of an injustice or wrongdoing that occurred from one group to another, and acknowledges how it continues to affect the wronged group in the present day.
When first coming to school I thought the adjustment from being away from home would be a lot harder but over this semester I learned to
Over the last semester I have learned many things about myself. I have learned that no matter what anyone says I am a strong young woman that can take anything life throws at me. I have also learned a lot about myself as a person and that there is a lot more to the world then just where I grew up. I have also learned that going to a smaller school in high school was a blessing but also was bad for me in many different ways. Through this semester I have learned what my strengths and weaknesses are and how to deal with them. I have learned that some of my strengths are also weaknesses in some way and that to deal with them I must first know what they are. I have also learned what my values are and that sometimes your values change with the things you do. You should also not just settle for things that go against you values. Along with learning what my values are I learned how my personality affects my values. I so the fact that I have more of an internal happy personality affects my values because one of the top values that I have is that I have friends. This relates to the fact that my work interests are more because where I work after college must be a place where I am able to work with people. I am a very socially active person so where ever I work ...
