The Strong Interest Inventory Survey is used for people who are assessing a career. The survey can help you decide on a career that best fits you, especially if you are unsure of what job you would like to do. The test then asks for questions about yourself, and how you are as a person. Once it gathers the data about you, it processes the information to give you 6 results: Realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional. Whatever one that you scored the highest is the one that best suits you, and what career you should look into.
Something that I learned from the Strong Survey was that I am a social person. This was a little weird, since on that last survey I was considered an introvert, I guess I am somewhat in

between. I can see from the social aspect since I do like to help, listen to problems, and teach others. I do still like to energize myself again alone. I learned that my interests involve working in groups, and doing work that is rewarding or benefiting to myself.
I do agree with the results to an extent, I say this because I personally think I fit exceptionally well into the interests of conventional and investigative. I enjoy science and mathematics very much in school, and they have always been my favorite classes to take. The only thing that I do not know entirely about is as I mentioned above about being social. I think as I grow older, and find myself more it will become more apparent or not if I am a social person. The careers that caught my interest while looking over my results were: medical service, healthcare, mathematics, science, and taxes/accounting. These fit well into what I like to do, as well as being something I take high interest in for college. Another one that came up was teaching and education. It is something that I have looked into but have not decided if that is the route I would like to go into. Teaching is something that I do enjoy to do, especially with younger children since I have a very young sister and the patience for it. One thing that I have not made up my mind about is if it is something that I want to do the rest of my life. It is something that I will be looking into since it can be a very rewarding
career to have. Other careers that I scored above average in were social science, counseling, and religion. Religion is something that does not match me or my interests at all. I am honestly surprised it came up even. The only career that I found accurate were in the healthcare professions. Once I have graduated from Central Lakes College, I plan on going into healthcare since it is diverse and you can always find a job. Being right out of college, it is always hard to find a job right away, so something that I can start right away in is always a big plus. Careers that I will be looking into after looking at my results are quite a bit and have increased in my list. My first choice would be the healthcare. It has a little bit of everything that I want and am looking for. It has helping, some socializing, science, and is overall very interesting. Every day is different than the nine to five job that most Americans seem to hold and you get to interact with new people everyday. I think this is the big reason why people get bored with their jobs, because it is very repetitive and not very social. Another career that interested me looking at it, was the accounting. A lot of people I know seem to go into this field and love it. It seems to be a field that is taking off and hiring quite a bit of people as well. The one thing that I think that fits me well in this career is mathematics. Numbers are fun to me and everything associated with them. Problems that have one answer make the most sense to me, and I can figure out faster than ones with multiple. This is why math and science appeal to me because most have only one answer depending on the subject. Biology and courses related have one answer and it is a very set straight path to get to that solution. Algebra has always been my favorite thing to do since it also has one answer, sometimes it can have multiple but there’s one set way as well to get to that solution(s). I know accounting is more than counting numbers but there is always one set answer that I can find my way through. Another career that I looked into was counseling, and all it had to offer. There are many options that it offers and it is not all the same. One that sounded very interesting to me was one that can prescribe medication. For me that seems like it meet in the middle for me, since counseling has been something that has caught my attention for a while. Helping people has always been who I am, and whatever the job is, as long as someone is benefiting from it I am happy in the end. I think that this survey has helped me a lot in the end, and will continue to use it during this course. It has opened options to careers that I never really thought about in the past, and can explore more in the future This one has maybe helped me the most since I was so unsure about careers. The top ones I am considering now are healthcare, counseling, being a teacher, and accounting. These all interest me since they are logical, helping people and have lots of information. As the times go on, these careers will be constantly evolving and never end. This is something irreplaceable since as I continue to grow and learn more about myself I can also still learn new information. I think that it is something very important to have as you age, which is why they say elders have wisdom. Having something though that can help you learn more about yourself is something very essential, and this survey exactly accomplished that.
I had the opportunity to take the 16 Careers Cluster Inventory. I found the assessment very easy to take. As well, I found the inventory easy to score. My results of the assessment indicated my top three career areas were: 1. Educational and Training, 2. Health Sciences, and 3 had a three way tie between Human Services, Hospitality, and Law enforcement. I found the assessment to be dead on. Based upon the past personality inventories that I have taken I found the suggested areas very appropriate. One of the appealing aspects of the inventory was the easy of taking it! It seemed to gather accurate information without being overly pathological and test-driven.
One assessment cannot accurately gauge what a person should do for the remainder of his or her life. The suggested occupations from the FOCUS 2 assessment for me are not occupations in which I have a true interest. Even though I possess the skills that would help me have a successful career in that type of field, I feel like I would be bored and unhappy in such a career. The results of my career assessment proved interesting, but did not change the degree I plan to complete at Liberty
AVID is a fun and educational elective that prepares me to go to college. AVID has also been helping me reach goals that I would had never expected to achieve. This elective has been really helpful for me but at the same time I am having some trouble in keeping up with work for class.I get a lower grade in AVID than in any other classes, so AVID is bringing my GPA down due to all the work. If I stay in AVID, then I don’t get the choice of any other electives besides Band, Chorus, and Orchestra. If I also had the choice to pick any elective with AVID like Spanish for example then I would remain in AVID.
Do you have a willingness to self-disclose? How receptive are you? How do you feel about what the scores told you about yourself? I do not have the willingness to self-disclose and I am not very receptive towards my peers. I feel that my scores better assured what I already knew about myself and makes it aware that I have trust issues and that I do not feel comfortable disclosing personal information to others.
However, I feel when it comes to being conventional, I feel that I’m more of original then conventional because, of how I tend to be more creative and curious about things happening around me and usually tend to wonder a lot. Especially with my field choice early childhood I feel that being creative is another important trait so I feel that because of the field and just in general that at times I’m more of an original then being conventional because at times I tend to be more of a curious but, I do tend to be a down to earth person so I feel like with this one I’m somewhere in the middle with this one. Looking at all the other results I think they were pretty accurate because, looking into them they do seem to sound like traits I have or would consider that I have at
The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important for our future decisions.
I am always a little nervous and hesitant when I begin writing an essay. Ever since I was little I was an honor roll student, passed all my tests, was placed in honors and AP classes, and eventually graduated a year early from high school. I used to be so confident when I would begin writing a paper, I could finish it within a couple minutes. During junior year of high school, I began taking duel credit classes. I was passing all the classes so far until I reached English 111. It was an 8-week course and I started to get overwhelmed. All throughout the course I was having a little bit of trouble on the essays. I would still receive a passing grade, but it wasn’t an A. I began becoming a little discouraged and didn’t understand what was going
This is a fairly big questionnaire which consists of 195 elements which are used for matching the job with the required skills. There are many advantages of using this and some of them have been listed
Initial Reflective Essay When I first thought of what I wanted to do with my life after college, the first thing I thought of was helping people. The next step in deciding what I wanted to do with my life was to examine how I could accomplish this goal. I started pondering and I was thinking about how much I love to take care of my body. Health care and personal hygiene has always been an important factor in my life. So I decided to major in Health Sciences.
Ultimately, a human’s personality is much more detailed than a few adjectives. Additionally, one’s profession should never be based on what a quiz suggests, as there are numerous attributes that a test cannot point out. Consider if you will that although the test did not reveal that I hold a strength of feeling, when it comes to children, my heart is touched and more inclined to offer an emotional response. Thus, in my opinion, if tests such as these were used to determine what job one should hold, more individual would remain jobless, be it due to the denial of a position or from a lack of interest for positions that appear to be fitting according to test results. This being said, if this determined career eligibility, the world would be even more chaotic than it is currently, with much more dissatisfaction within the workplace. Ultimately, I know in my case, I would not be as pleased and driven to accomplish my goals if I were under the impression that my personality results could cause me denial of the career I am

I’m going to tell you my top three scores from the Holland Interest Inventory and the top five StrengthsQuest.
