As a senior in high school, I am very aware that the decisions I make now and in the next few years may very well affect me forever. With this in mind, I find the motivation to put my all into everything that I do. When I look back on my life thirty years from now, I want to be proud of the choices and accomplishments I’ve made. The adults in my family were not particularly successful when it came to high school, college, or stable careers, so I look forward to making my parents, and most of all myself, proud. From academic excellence to everyday success, I aim for the top. To look back and be proud of my achievements in high school would certainly be a feat. Therefore, I have maintained a high GPA throughout my high school career. Note-taking, studying, and concentrating on the material are things I take very seriously. However, academics are not the only area in which I try to excel. Friendships and memories are going to last me a lifetime. However, it does make sense to have a skeletal plan to build upon as goals are met and time passes. Working in an educational setting with young children has always been a factor in my dream careers. To find satisfaction in my life and with my achievements, I aspire to work in a lower elementary school with children possessing disorders of the throat, tongue, ear, and speech difficulties. To rehabilitate young children with issues affecting their social life is everything I want to work towards. The number of lives I could touch as a speech pathologist is almost breathtaking. To touch even one life is a blessing, but to potentially improve the lives of several children is a gift within itself. This is something I could be endlessly proud of as I grow
