Accomplishments I have not had a single accomplishment that is worth writing about but I feel that my college completion will be one accomplishment that I will be most proud. I feel that I am taking one step forward in life that will make me become a more successful person. My High School life has helped shape the way for my college experiences that I will face. My senior year in high school is not the same as many other high school students. I am taking many advanced classes to help me prepare for college. These classes help me better understand exactly how much harder I must work to succeed. From my college experience, I hope to gain many things. Obviously college is a time that students can truly become individuals. When I attend college I will have the opportunity to become more independent and to take on new responsibilities. I have always relied on my parents for support, but at college I will be on my own and will have to push myself harder. This will help me to become more mature and will help me grow in character. I have long awaited for the time to be independent and now is the time that I shall prove myself. Right now I have a fairly accurate idea concerning what I want to do with my life. My love for computers has taken me a long way and I have a strong feeling that I will continue in the field of computer science. Yet, I am also aware that I may change my mind several times before I begin a career. College will introduce me to new and various things, and I will develop new interests from this exposure. The world of technology is changing rapidly and computers seem like the best way to go. When I combine that and my love for computers I am almost certain that the field of computer science is right for me. In college, I will also be exposed to new clubs and activities. I feel that club and after school activities can make a person more involved and give a person the right qualities to become a leader. Involvement in extra events has provided a balance for rigorous course study. With the pressures that college brings, I will probably want to be involved in many groups.
High school did not prepare me for college at all. I didn’t even have to take any finals junior or senior year. Everything was very laid back and I felt like I had all the time in the world. My classes consisted of mainly art and band, so I didn’t have a whole lot of tough, time consuming assignments. The longest paper I have ever written was two pages. Even in my AP Calculus class everything was very laid back. I entered college with the same mindset; I thought I could handle
High school is where I had gained an awareness about how what I 'm learning in school is going to benefit me in the real world. I learned an retain a variety of information because the things that I did learn I felt like you would need to know to survive in the real world. A perfect example of this is driver 's ed where I learned to drive something that I do everyday frequently. Another reason why I learned and retain so much I because when I got into high school is around the same time I got my first job. This definitely opened the door in showing me how what I 'm learning in school applies to everyday work activities such as knowing and counting money this is where math comes in. Being able to talk and communicate writing and verbally this is where English comes in. All things that I needed to do in everyday
...ring the Han golden age, there were tremendous achievements and advancements in the fields of science. The Han dynasty, without doubt, advanced more in science than the Romans did.
... and power in China, which ended in 220 C.E with the rise of the Three Kingdoms period, during which time regional warlords all vied for power in the remnants of what was the Han Dynasty. Yet the Han’s lasting effects are still evident in the changes in the modern day China. Religions were introduced to China and expanded throughout its lands. Even in modern China, the people refer to themselves as Han rem, which means “Han people”, proof of the Han’s lasting effect and influence within China. The Han Dynasty’s legacy of improvements in education, government, religion, science, and innovation helped to shape the country that it would one day become. As Cristian Violatti stated in her article, “Although history tells us, then, that the Han Dynasty ended in 220 C..E., from the examples cited above it is clear that the Han still lives on today in many different forms.”
The Han dynasty started when Xiang Yu of Chu and Liu Bang of Han fought at battle of Gaixia. Liu Bang of Han was victorious, starting the Han dynasty in 206 B.C.E through 220 A.D. The Han dynasty was one of China's longest ruling empires and also the largest empire of it’s time. The Han dynasty was responsible for many discoveries and inventions. The Han empire developed gunpowder, paper making, cast iron tools, looms for silk weaving, and made Confucianism the official ideology. If all of this still does not convince you that the Han dynasty was one of the most influential empires ever, they also started the Silk Road. The Silk Road linked the Chinese and the Roman across various deserts, mountain ranges, and various steppes. Because silk
First, students will gain more knowledge. College will expand their thinking and mind. College also broadens their minds into new life experiences, skills, and techniques. In an interview with Melissa Maley, a Religion Professor at GTCC, she stated “students can gain much going to college far beyond just a job. College teaches students discipline and organization (or it should) and how to meet deadlines under pressure. College exposes students to multiple points of view and helps people wade through multiple levels on information in order to discern the relevance and correctness of this information”. Basically, college can do more than just preparing student for their career, but also learning all the other aspect as well. “College is the center of learning” says Melissa Maley. In high school, students only learn the basic skills unless they take specific college classes. In college, students memorize and study more advanced information. Not only students will gain new skill, but they will also practice they desired field of major at a much higher level. It may take several years to complete and fully understand the new skills, but it is totally worth it.
The Stone Ages were a time when hominids and early humans were alive. They lived in the three different epochs. The Paleolithic Era, Mesolithic Era, and the Neolithic Era. The initial humans were basic in the ages, but they eventually grew more advanced. The humans started growing more progressive in the Paleolithic Era.
During the Paleolithic era, life was very simple and nomadic: Utilization of stone and wooden apparatuses, utilizing caves as a shelter was exceptionally normal since there was no motive to stay in a permanent settlement. Hunters have often been males, and females as gatherers, since both contributed to the supply of food, there was a sense of equality between the two genders. However, things were to change with the discovery of agriculture. This innovative discovery changed the lifestyles of these simple people. Some were quick to assimilate while others proceeded for a delay. This new era would be known as the Neolithic era or also known as the New Stone age. The state of agriculture also had some flaws. One including the start of patriarchy.
The business is totally developed based on lie. It uses different tricks to attract investors and it fall at a time wand ran away with the invested money. The Neolithic and Paleolithic Eras’ had more differences then similarities due to them transitioning from one type of way of living to another. The prefix “Neo” means new and the prefix “Paleo” means old, while the “Lithic” stands for stone. The Paleolithic Era, or the Old Stone Age, lasted from 250,000 to 10,000 BCE. The Neolithic Era, or the New Stone Age, lasted from 10,000 to 3500 BCE.
The analysis above assumes that the search for the meaning of human dignity in law can be a part of the emergence of this term in a list of legal texts and judicial decisions, in both national and international law. There is, however, another theme regarding the emergence of human dignity in law and this is related to the legal nature of human dignity in the functional mode. In particular, with respect to the practical sense of human dignity, we should explore the legal ground that justifies the role or status of dignity’s norm within the legal frameworks and legal reasoning. Two perspectives on the legal nature of human dignity are commonly possible; formal and substantive.
The Paleolithic period is characterized by the use of stone tools and discovery of fire by humans. As such, the artistic work involved cave paintings. Man was involved in the activity of hunting and gathering. In contrast, the Neolithic period entails the discovery of tools and agriculture. The stones were polished and man created plows. The transition of the Neolithic era was the movement from
First event that I accomplished was when I got my high school diploma. Even though finishing high school was not an easy task for me, those days were the best moments of my life. I always knew that if I would finish high school and then hold the diploma in my hands I would always make my parents and of course feel very proud. My parents are proud because I am their oldest child and I am the first who graduated high school successfully. This is my first year in college, I am majoring biology, and some day I would have not a high school graduation but I would be a graduate from college. My dream is to be a physician assistant. I hope that some day I will achieve all of my goals. When I would get my degree it would be one of my greatest accomplishments.
My parents always tell me how proud they are of me and all i’ve accomplished in my life at such a young age. I’ve always been known as the “responsible one”, or the “smart one” out of all my friends. I’ve always been the one to remind my friends about tests or reports that are due, and they always ask what they would do without me.
Time flies so fast. Looking back, my high school is just like a movie, a lot of things happened. High School is four years of growing up and probably a time in your life where you go through the most changes. In high school you are able to discover yourself and find out who you are as a person. Each year is special and unique in their own way. My journey through high school was a tough one, especially because I decided to not only focus on academic work but also to invest quality time in extra curriculum activities. I wanted more than just academic excellence; I wanted to be a leader, I wanted to add value to every aspect of my life, I wanted a rounded education and not just mere schooling. My success story is what I will like to share with you; how I really made it and how this defines my personality. My journey in High School was scary, exciting, and successful.
