7th grade brought opportunity to discover more about medicine. Mrs. Barrett asked us to research an interesting careers. I picked pediatrics. I chose to tap into a first-hand experience by sitting down with Dr. Wayne. Every patient to him was like solving a Scooby Doo mystery. Sick kids were so young that, they could not always tell what was going on and parents were also at a loss for words. However, often times there were hints as to the illness. Arriving at a

Wah! Wah! Wah! The screaming and crying of children, the voices of parents yelling, doctors rushing to a room, and the nurses taking care of everything, the life of a nurse pediatric is not as easy as one can assume. As one prepares for a future in the field of nursing one must consider the job description, history background, educational requirements, the work requirements, the work environment, the duties and responsibilities, the wages and benefits, and the potential for advancement of pediatrics.

Many children in hospitals today are not receiving the proper specialized care due to the fact that their bodies are not as developed as average adults, and doctors are not knowledgeable in the treatment of child ailments. While becoming a pediatric hospitalist requires many long hours of school and years of residency, the career provides a large amount of fulfillment because of the lives that will be changed and saved.
I have known from an early age that I’ve wanted to become a doctor. Helping people has always been a passion of mine. When I was younger, I wanted to be a veterinarian. However, after working with young children I have found that I love working with them, and have a connection with children. Currently, I am interested in becoming either a neonatologist or a general pediatrician so I can continue to work with young children.
If you don’t like being with kids and you don’t like to hear yells and screaming then this is not the job for you, since you are dealing with kids you have to have patience and understand that they will cry and yell because they’re scared. You also have to be lovable, fun, and playful because in the end they’re kids and that's what they want to be loved and have fun especially when they’re not feeling their best. Pediatricians work with other doctors, they may diagnose a patient and then recommend them to another doctor depending on what they have. They may sometimes travel depending on what cases they have and how urgent they are, because sometimes they get patients from somewhere else. The job outlook for a pediatrician is supposed to increase by 10% in the near future, As time passes more and more kids will be in this world and they will need a doctor to take care of them. Last but not least pediatricians get paid an average of $160,000- 250,000 per year. It all depends on many different factors like location and how many patients you
If you are looking for a job in the medical field, but also would like to work with children, pediatrics could be a great option. The reason I wanted to research this career is because I find medicine very interesting, but I would also like to work with kids. I realized I would like to work with kids when I was about ten. Ever since I started babysitting, I have really enjoyed spending time with children. Lately I have really enjoyed learning about medicine and all the careers in the medical field. In this paper I will be touching on a few areas, such as what pediatricians do, how much they get paid and the demand for this job, and the classes required.
Each day, medical research is taken to new and improved levels changing life as we know it. The experiments grow ─along with technology─ and shape this world for the better. Since no one in this world is alike, treatments are being discovered to take care of patients in their own ways. To fit with all these differentiated needs, healthcare has been broken up into multiple categories. Each section is specifically responsible for the unique care of patients but the end goal over all, is the same (treating others). One of the best known units of healthcare that is needed today is Pediatrics. Children under the age of five in America receive better healthcare from their pediatrician than an average family doctor. The specialist in the medical field came to this conclusion by stating that a pediatrician has the specialized knowledge needed in caring for the youth population. As I prove this study to be factual, my research paper will explain how pediatrics came about over time, how much of an alteration there is between a pediatrician and a family doctor, and why this particular care is essential to all children.
I’ve always wanted to work with children, but I never knew what my choice was going to be, because there are so many professions. I believe a Pediatric Nurse is a good choice. Growing up I have always had an interest in kids, especially infants. I’m just so fascinated about how something so small can grow inside of a woman and become an adult one day. I know there is so much more I can learn from the world. One day I would love to travel and help the children all over the world. I believe I can help the world and I will do as much as I can to make it a better place.

When I woke up on Tuesday, September 5th, I was ecstatic to finally start working with the students at Prescott Elementary. I have been working with kids for the past four years and I couldn’t wait to meet new children. Even though I just considered teaching a few months ago, I have always loved working with kids. Ever since I was a cheerleading coach for young girls I knew I wanted to interact with kids in some way as a career. Before teaching, I though about being a pediatrician. After I tossed that idea around, I thought about being a physical therapist with a specialization in pediatrics. Then finally, I thought of being a pediatric nurse, I really wanted to work with infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the hospital. But then I realized that all those science courses that the medical field entails are not for me. This is when I was enlightened and became interested in teaching.
At a very young age I realized I had a love for children. This love was a result of me being around my young cousins. It was so intriguing to watch their behavior on a daily basis. They always yearned for attention, and used many smart tactics to receive it. Throughout the years, I never found it to be a problem to respond to their needs. In fact, it was a joy. However, when they were sick, I knew I wanted to help them, but did not always have the answers. I was able to comfort them, but my yearning to help ran deeper than comfort. Therefore, I wanted my career path to enable me to help sick and well children. Pursuing a career as a pediatrician would fulfill my desires of being able to work and advocate for children, and gaining my Master’s through this program would be a positive step towards that goal.
