Peter as a Good Role Model for Christians Despite His Faults
If someone is your role model you look up to him or her for support
and guidance, like Peter did with Jesus. Peters role model was Jesus,
both a teacher and a father to him because Peter left his family to go
with Jesus (Mk 1:14-18) Jesus said to them, "Come with me, and I will
teach you to catch people." At once they left their nets and went with
him. This shows that Peter dedicated his life to Jesus and to God.
Some people say that Peter is a good role model because Peter also
gave up his whole family and friends to follow Jesus this was a tragic
thing to do back then and still is now. It was the ultimate sacrifice
to just leave your family after so many years of being with them. This
also shows that Peter really trusted Jesus and would do anything for
him. Peter doesn't ask us to do anything that he wouldn't be told to
do by Jesus. Peters name was changed from Simon to Peter when he
started following Jesus. In another gospel, Christians learnt that
Jesus called Peter his "Rock" this is whom Jesus was going to build
his church upon.
Peter was the first apostle to be chosen out of the twelve apostles.
This shows that he was very important to Jesus and helped Jesus many
times throughout the story. Peter is trustworthy, when Jesus heals
Jairus' daughter and after the Transfiguration he is told to keep
Jesus' secret and does so.
Peter recognized his faults. When he denied Jesus three times he broke
down and cried after he denied him. Peter fought back and his spirit
was strong, unlike Judas who betrayed him then went away and committed
suicide. On various occasions such as the transfiguration Jesus picked
only three disciples to witness these events. The first person to call
Jesus " the messiah" was Peter, which was a courageous thing to do
because no one else dared say the word because they were scared of

One of the many reasons I look up to my brother is because he has never given up even when things get tough, he has always tried to find a solution to everything. My brother has worked hard in everything, specially in school. He has always been a great role model to me. He tries to help me in any way he can and motivates me to work hard in school to accomplish my goals.
A few role models that influenced this behavior were my dad, my dad’s girlfriends, and my grandfather. I would

Role models can make a huge difference in a child's life. My Physical Education teacher had a major impact of effecting of what I want to be now. Aleta Jo Crotty helped me to learn to take responsibility for my actions, and in my choices I am in control. By using guidelines that was set by her for my life, I hope to reach just one child.
In my life, my grandfather has always been my role model. He valued his beliefs and always abides by his values. My grandfather is a pastor. His leadership position in church gave him many responsibilities. I was never disappointed because he always tried to live an honest life. He was always trustworthy, reliable and responsible not just in church but also for his family. People followed his lead because he was always true to his words; he literally practiced what he preached. Credibility was the basic foundation for my grandfather’s leadership position. His credibleness has helped the church stay
Have you ever experienced unconditional love, the kind of love that forgives and foresees everything? The Holy Bible is a book written by many Apostles and Jesus himself which features many texts that demonstrates basic principles and standards through stories, testimonies, and especially parables. A parable is a fictitious story designed to teach a lesson through comparison or contrast (Intro to Parable). “The Parable of the Prodigal Son” is a short story about a son who is not satisfied with life and leaves his fathers’s home to seek worldly riches; very shortly he realizes he is a broken man without his family. The text may be interpreted multiple ways based on religious view and may have multiple themes, but the strongest theme of them
The beginnings of my life are an interesting jumble, and they highlight the cosmopolitan world that was the Roman Empire. I was born in an Asian city now located on the southern coast of Turkey called Tarsus in about the year 10. My parents were Jewish, presumably strict Pharisees. They were also Roman citizens.
Many people find someone in his/her life to look up to, a role model. There are many different kinds of role models; they can be singers, public speakers, a parent, or even a friend. Role models also are not determined by certain criteria. A role model can be a role model just because they are a leader or have a great talent. Oprah Winfrey is considered a role model to many individuals because of her tough childhood, wonderful charity work, her schools, and the true relationships with her fans. Oprah stands out among many people on her ability to feel others’ pain and help those people get through their troubling times.
My grandma is my role model because she has accomplished so much and been through so much in her life. She is a very beautiful person, but very stubborn in what she believes and wants. Its almost impossible to get her to change her mind. She is always telling me how proud she is of me and has pretty high expectations of me. My mom is also a role model for me because she had a rough childhood and after she started a family she went back to college she is still attending college now, she gives me motivation to never give up and reminds my of how good my life is
Many of us have role models in our lives and to most people role models are athletes and movie stars, but to me a role model is much more. To me a role model is a person who has positively influenced someone in life, and is not a person filled with selfishness and greed. They help shape someone’s personality, and characteristics. They are people who someone can look up to for advice in a hard situation, and know that they will give those words of wisdom. They will never judge our past actions, instead only look to help because they really care. A role model is someone who we should never feel awkward talking to about our problems. A perfect role model for me is my mother. She is a wonderful human being. She’s smart, wise, ambitious, patient and such a loving person. There are no words that can describe my gratitude towards her, but through this essay I will describe some of her characteristics that makes her my role model.
