Every weekday when I enter my school, all I have to do is step into the hallway to see a body part that I do not want to see. Whether minor or major, it’s always there. It’s noticeable that these violations actually set a casual environment in our schools. All inappropriate clothing does is reflect laziness and sloppiness. I think that the school board needs to crack down on this, and enforce dress code more than it already is. School should be a serious affair, and to help that in a major way, all we have to do is dress with a little formality. Some people find that certain clothing is extremely offensive. Parents, who are protective of what their child sees, might not want them to see revealing clothing. Many people judge inappropriate dressers as “lazy” or “sloppy.” …show more content…
It is proven that dressing well actually increases academic level. If you can remember the last picture day you had in school, you dressed well, and you stood a little straighter. Did you not feel more responsible, and more mature? You probably had more drive for learning on that day as well. Because you looked presentable, you felt you should also act presentable. In doing that, you did well with your work on that day. If you did that every day, your entire academic level would come up. Now, many will argue that if they are told that they must look presentable, they cannot express themselves, or they look stupid because they are not following the newest trending type of clothing. I agree with these people, however, it is possible to look presentable, as well as expressing yourself, I don’t think that dress codes should be as strict as uniforms, but should be applied conservatively. For instance, if a boy or girl decides they want to dye their hair, that would be okay. It’s not offensive in any way shape or form, and it definitely does not distract people as much as revealing or provocative clothing

The author continues to explain the two points he learned, and because of those points, he made his school a casual place. The dress code he established only proclaims to be “neat and clean.” The author saw no problem until the attire came so close as to be dressing at the beach, so he conducted a meeting with his staff and decided something should be said. When the author wrote the work dress guidelines, he got the input of the teachers and what should be expected by each guideline. However, the author only sent out the draft to people who had worked with him for fifteen or more years, so the question arose that the world is changing and he needed opinions from younger teachers.
Dressing for the weather is really important to do, especially when it's extremely hot out and there aren't air conditioners in the school that work properly. When it's hot people don't like to wear a lot of clothes. Seeing the shoulders of guys and girls in school...
Dress code enforces the modest dress of students, preventing bullying and distractions.Numerous people believe clothing is a distraction and when eliminated the school environment is more professional and gives a better education to a student. Authority figures consider the school apparel enforcements are constitutionally sound, not affecting the child’s right to freely express, and providing a professional and working setting causing a better learning environment and decreased amount of bullying due to clear differences in appearance. However, opposers disagree with the restrictive code because of its limitations on individuality
America’s school systems seem to have many issues concerning students receiving a quality education without distraction. A current debate argues weather a dress code policy is efficient or takes away from student’s expression. Administrators at schools should regulate a dress code policy because the system improves discipline and student’s attention, reduces social conflict and peer pressure related to appearance, and dress code provides a more serious learning environment.
Leon Forrest authored a unique and challenging novel, titled: A Tree More Ancient than Eden, which depicts Nathaniel Witherspoon 's quest for understanding his African American identity. This novel is very different from the traditional narratives that typically flow chronologically; this novel flows through the narrator in a stream of conscious thoughts. Forrest’s novel moves from one incident to another, jumping around in history while carrying around the descriptions of mystical, biblical, and historical events. Through the narrator, the author explores the African American experience and addresses the issues of race that conflict with the narrator. In this essay, I will be discussing how the novel deals with the past, how the author addresses

A dress code enforces discipline toward learning by changing a person’s attitude toward success. Students generally act the way they are dressed. With fewer fashion distractions, school will be seen as a priority for teaching and learning rather than trend competitions. This alteration leads to modification in grades because it’s much easier to focus when everyone is dressed alike. Furthermore, a student’s attendance also improves; with the relief of picking out a new outfit every morning.
