I have always been a math-science oriented person, and until my sophomore year of high school, my primary interest was in biological sciences. However, as a student in the Pre-International Baccalaureate Program, I was required to enroll in the physics I class. Walking into the physics lab, I saw an energetic, eccentric woman in a room covered with posters of the periodic table and Alberta Einstein alongside those of Elvis Presley. I would never view physics in the same light again.
I would continually ponder over questions on the mechanics of nature and human beings. Science has always been a main focus of mine. I distinctly remember when my parents bought our first computer when I was six years old. On the computer I would always be watching videos or reading on science topics. I would always be conducting my own science experiments. The reaction from mixing baking soda with vinegar to form a volcano would always amaze me as a child. Growing up I would continually and consistently add to my knowledge of science through the tough courses I would take in school. I am able to look back into the memories of my younger self and understand why baking soda and vinegar, when mixed, form an eruption. Although I was pretty good at science, my favorite subject was math. I was always the best in math and I loved the feeling of dissecting complex problems, and trying different methods and techniques to eventually get to the right answer. To me, math problems were like a puzzle and I had the tools to figure them out. I have completed Bsc (Hons) Construction management at the University of West London, and I would now like to further my career by studying MSC Project enterprise and management at UCL. I have made this decision after understanding that this course will enable me to develop a broad understating of construction management of large and complex projects and increase my commercial awareness of these projects.
