Oh man look i'm caught in a ruckus again. I wonder what I did this time. Well I hate my job at Caesar of the Little. I could have a different job right now but I decided to stay. Now I don't like my decisions and here is how I got to this point. Today I work at Little Caesars. When I first started working here about 15 months ago I rather enjoyed my job. The people were nice and the pay was awful but i'm just a teenager so minimum wage wasn't bad. Believe it or not I have a good work ethic I just dislike school and sitting at a desk. Anyway the bosses liked my effort and I got a raise. Furthermore life wasn't to bad i kept my head down and did my job. As I continued to do good I got promoted to shift leader. As I crept my way up the totem pole I began to notice how poorly the place was managed how much the owner just didn't care about …show more content…
I just tried to move on but i couldn't. The job started to suck the life out of me as it still does to this day. I started to care less and less. The manager wrote new rules he can't even keep himself. Which i get he's the manager but he still has to be the role model as newbies will look up to him. Now they treat us like we work at the cheesecake factory and not a fast food joint. If l were the manager I would at least make an attempt to give my employees a better role model and something to build off of. In conclusion I want a new job and regret not taking 6 other job offers i've been offered in the past. Now I don't have much time between work and school to job hunt. So as I continue this mistake I hope to learn to keep my head down and do decent in school so i'm not at a place like that for the rest of my life, sometimes i just find it hard to stay focused in school as i much rather be doing something more physical and demanding. I don't really have a favorite mistake but I hope to learn from this incident. So look at the ruckus i’m in once
Although I was the youngest employee in our department, my coworkers treated me as an equal. I was part of the team that must work together in a fast pace, quick turn-around time to meet deadlines and occasionally working long hours finishing reports. It was the type of jobs that can make or break anyone brave enough to endure, and I am grateful for the experience. While employed in this job, I also grew as a person. I learned integrity is everything in regards to human interactions, as well as self-respect and respect for my co-workers. I learned to value time and prioritize my daily tasks. At the same time, I learned to be ready for any wrench thrown my way. The gradual maturity I gained at KPMG rises above all else. These are lifelong lessons I take with me every day of my life, and most importantly, these are the values that will not be taken away from
Day after day, I work at Home Depot. I’ve worked at Home Depot for 6 months. My position there is a cashier. A few months have gone by and all I do is show up and do my job as a cashier. The cashiers have someone who runs the front end along with every register in the store, and that person is a head ashier. After what I see the head cashiers go through, I would never want to be a head cashier for the rest of my life.
Having those fellow co workers that bring you down, the ungodly amount of hours you have to work, and at time just the job in itself can be the reason that you have a horrible attitude about working. Find a job that you know you will enjoy doing, because doing that boring job in the end will do nothing but give you a bad attitude about the rest of the working
I was ready to give up and forget about it all together. Until an amazing opportunity arose. How I came across my first job couldn’t be anything but destiny. In 2016 I attended a wedding and this might seem harsh but it was a disaster. I could name at least 50 things that went wrong.
my managers and boss or simply the money that I’m making, my new job was and is a very
As the morning arise, first day at my new job, I’m excited but nervous at the same time, but before I discuss my new job let think back before I got the new job. Previously I was working at a dealership name Long Lewis Ford in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Things didn’t work out with me the pay wasn’t good enough. I was struggling to pay bills even though I got a degree in automotive. In so, one of my co-worker name Ryan was telling about this job fair at the Marriott in Florence, Alabama. Thinking I should apply for this job called Freightcar America in Cherokee, Alabama. He was telling me the pay is pretty good starting out $12 an hour.
Most people have some experience in life with a bad job. Many factors such as low pay, horrible management, feeling underappreciated, poor hours, dissatisfaction with the job are some of the factors that may contribute to an awful job experience; I have been through my own personal experience of staying at a bad job because I needed the paycheck, so I know just how difficult the situation can be. However, many people continue to stay at the horrible job because they need to provide for their family, yet it is possible to find a better job that does not come at the expense of your satisfaction in the workplace. My current job at OB Warehouse is a better work environment than my previous job at Forever 21 because of the co-workers, hours, and the management.
What did/didn’t your manager do to make you feel this way? OR, what did your manager do to make you feel listened to or valued on the job? What about your professors at UMBC? What did Brian do in Three Signs of a Miserable Job to make his employees feel valued? Give several very specific examples.
When I leave school I start my third job. This is the one that “brings home the bacon.” I work as a server at Applebee’s restaurant. I also take on the role as Assistant Manager twice a week. My primary role is to make sure that every guest that walks into the restaurant is taken care of. This job is like my second family. Recently I found out that a co-worker has a life threatening disease called Multiple Sclerosis. Just so happens, she is my best friend. The joy of working for big corporation is that they will do anything to help others.
What happens if what you hate the most in life you'll have to do it anyways? Like for many students are annoying to take math classes and you do not have an option because if you don't take it then you're not able to accumulate credits and graduate. I am going to talk about why I hate my job; I work at a call center for AT&T where people call just when they have issues with their service. The most irritating is knowing that you can't just quit because is the only job that will fit your school's schedule and for the recession that this country is going through and people are getting laid-off. I do not like my job because I am not getting pay enough for what for what I have to do and suffer and customers are always disrespectful.
I worked for a friend once, and I thought it was the best decision I had ever made. The job was going to be babysitting her kids as often as she needed. Not just one or two kids, but three children, of various ages. I was a little anxious because it was my first job after high school, but I was excited to get started. Without having any experience with kids, I thought to myself , “How simple it was going to be babysitting three kids” I was wrong. It was difficult, and I gave up so much of my time for this friend without getting much in return. Choosing to babysit a friends children caused so many problems. I would have never imagined my first job experience being so dreadful. Working for a friend was a discouraging experience, because I did not have
I was only seventeen when I started working. I lived in a very small city that I downtown area full of different stores. During the summer times, most of the stores downtown would post job listings looking for young individuals who wanted to work during the summer season. I decided that I wanted to gain some work experience and decided to apply in one of the stores. The store I worked in was called Kid City; it was a clothing store for children. I enjoyed the job I had in the beginning; all I did was open up boxes and placed the clothes in the racks so the store associates could hang them up on the store racks. I enjoyed the job because I did not have to deal with the customers that came into the store. However, I was then moved to the front of the store to
If you don’t like your job and feel dissatisfied with your work life for no obvious reasons like poor working conditions, odd timings, bad relationships with boss or colleagues, low pay or poor fringe benefits. Don’t worry, because you are not alone!
