Getting a new dog It all started on a normal day. I was playing on a PC having fun. Then my mom came into the room and said to get in the car so I did. I was confused at first. After a while, It was growing bored just watching the trees go by. then We were in my sister's town that's she lives in, that's how I recognized that we're going to my sister's house. We eventually made it there and I was playing with their dog twist. then my sister said get in the car. I ask “where are we going? “ “it’s a surprise,” she said. I get into the car I was confused, my niece and nephew were thrilled. we all asked “where are we going?” again but my mom and sister said it's a “Surprise” I hated surprises. it got dull after a while again just watching trees
going by, but then we pulled up to a driveway. we all get out of the car and walked to the door and knocked. A lady arrived and let us in, my mom and sister wear communicating to the lady while I was embracing a dog. then a puppy came out and I was excited, but the lady wanted to keep the girl dogs so we got a male dog. now we named him Oscar and he loves to play rough plus he's a mama's boy.
“Where are they going to take us?” my 7 year old brother Dominique asked nervously.
Everyone makes mistakes when they’re little. It’s how we learned and grew as people, no one can get everything right on the first try. This is especially true when it comes to new pet owners, or raising an animal in general. When you’re taking care of a pet for the first time there’s always something new to learn. There are plenty of mistakes to be had when it comes to caring for an animal, like thinking a hamster is sick when it’s just sleeping a lot because they’re actually nocturnal. Or the most heartbreaking mistake, losing a pet. When a child loses a pet sometimes parents lie so that their child doesn’t feel bad. Which is understandable, but it can hurt more when that child finds out the truth on their own.
If I were going to be giving an in-home animal welfare audit on the following animals: large and small dog, 3 cats, 2 hamsters, and a goldfish, I would first start off my audit by examining the home and the surroundings of the animals. This would be my first and most obvious observation that would give me a great deal of insight as to if this is going to be a good or a bad audit. I would look at the condition of the floors, the walls, stairs, cabinets, doors, and the overall infrastructure. If there were scratch marks on doors, cabinets, defecation stains in the carpet, or other unordinary signs, I would begin digging deeper into things. I would also examine the outside condition of the house. I would look at what the backyard looked like, if there were outdoor cages/pens, if the grass was missing from parts of the yard that could indicate neglect from being tied outside for too long, and look to see if the outdoor area is maintained properly meaning fencing and landscape. Next I would look into each animal closer.
My brother replied, “Okay i'm going to practice, I will be back in a little.” I watched him get in his car and drive away. I got up and started to walk around the block to look for my dog. I couldn’t find him anywhere. I got done walking around the block and starting walking to my garage. I got in my house and when I was walking up the stairs my phone started to ring. I ran up the stairs as fast as I could and picked up the phone.
"Dad! Please, it's for Cromwell and mostly it's for me. This is what I need! Cromwell should be able to pursue his dreams of running as Izzy should do her soccer," Kevin winced, but continued "I'll take Cromwell out and I’ll train him! I'll save up money for lessons and everything, please!"
As a kid, I fell in love with the idea of getting a puppy for Christmas. Wrapped in a small box with a bow on top sitting under the tree just like the movies and tv shows I had seen. I can remember making a Christmas list of all the things I wanted that year, and every year the same thing that I wanted had said “puppy” with it underlined so that my mother knew which was my favorite on the list. Every year no surprise, I didn’t find a dog. I never understood why I never received one. When the kids at school talked about the few dogs they had at home made me so jealous, but I hoped that one day it would be me to have my own best friend at home.
I had always wanted a dog. I waited 11 years asking for a dog almost every day. I finally convinced my mom to take me to the animal shelter. It was around an hour ride to get the place where we got my dog. We got Murray at Pets Inc.
It was the summer of 2012 and my family and I thought that there was something missing in our life’s. We gave it some thought and time when we came to a conclusion that we needed a dog. For me, it would be the first dog I would ever have, so we got a female dog named Alexis.
One day i was with my friend and we were riding bikes and a huge pit bull came charging at us and we started to go faster and we were trying to lose him and we went through an ally and a lot of dogs were barking at us and a german shepard jumped a fence and my chain was making a lot of noise and we lost them for awhile and i fixed my chain because it was about to fall of then we were riding back home and they saw us again and we started to pedal as fast as we could so we could lose them and we got in a different place and got lost and the dogs were still chasing us so we splited up and later we couldn't find each other and i called him and he wouldn't answer the phone and at last i saw him and he told me that he had lost his phone so instead
About three years ago my mom, dad, and sister and I went to our local animal shelter to adopt a puppy that looked like Scrappy from Scooby-Doo.I got out the car and walked to the shelter and heard the sound of dogs barking and whimpering ¨woof, woof¨ and the sounds of kittens meowing,¨meow¨.As I walked in the air pushed the smelly poop and pee that smells like fish guts into my face.Immediately I saw people, kittens as cute as babies, and puppies were blankets inside. As I went to explore I saw blankets and cages as terrifying as prison cells.I was in my own world it was like a fairytale until I heard a person walking toward me and say,¨It's time to fill out paperwork¨.My mom guided me to the chairs that a surprisingly comfy and soft feel.As
Are you someone who is thinking about buying or adopting a dog? Well, that is certainly a great decision as there are many shelters and breeders that provide puppies for sale. A decision to buy a dog is something that most people take very casually. Activities like watching Television and seeing one makes might even make people realize they need one. However, there are some people who decide to buy a pet after lots of thinking and planning and for them, there are few things that matter the most.
Why should we get a dog? An informational essay on the answer to the question of every kid By Marlise Malia Deyerl “Mom, can we get a dog?” The repeated question simply hangs in the back of parents minds. Most just simply look at their kid and say:
MY eyes opened as I was being licked in the face by my dog and I pushed my dog out of the way to see why my room was so white as I got up to look out the window the window started to fog, then I walked over to the window a little closer and saw that there was some snow on the ground I almost started to yell in joy,but I stopped myself from shouting in joy and I looked at the clock and it was only 6:00 and I knew if I yelled then that my mom would yell at me for waking up everyone in the house.
"Honey," my mom yelled to me one sunny afternoon, "Go out and feed Sugar." Sugar was our dog, a big, husky lap dog. I went to our kitchen, and got some food. Then I stepped outside, into the warm, fresh August air, looking for Sugar. I glanced to where I kept Sugar, and couldn't believe my eyes. Sugar was not there. I ran to the place where Sugar slept, I saw that the leash was elegantly coiled up. I knew that Sugar could not have run away. I thought that she must have chased a deer or another animal. Then a disturbing thought hit me, Sugar might have been abducted. As I tried to push that thought out of my mind, I thought that my mom could have put Sugar out in the garage. I went to the garage to check, but unfortunately Sugar wasn?t there. ?Mom,? I cried after a couple of seconds, ?Do you know where Sugar is??
Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted a dog. Never did I think that dogs would end up being by biggest fear. I was just a little kid around 6 years old when it happened. I was walking home from my friend’s house when I saw a stray dog, it was in the middle of the street blocking my way, I decided to walk past it, while I was walking it started growling at me, I hesitated but still kept trying to walk then suddenly it got up and started barking empathically towards me. I was terrified, my first initial reaction being a 6 year old kid was to scare it away, I was ignorant. I picked up a rock and threw it at the dog thinking it’ll get scared and run away. I was wrong. The dog had enough it made a whimpering noise then started barking even louder
