What I believe makes me stand out as a strong candidate for admissions to the University of California is the desire I have to learn. I believe there’s a difference between wanting to learn and having the need to learn. Most people continue their education in order to get it over with and pursue their career, but there’s other people who have a passion for learning. Some people want to know everything there is to a topic to be aware of any situations that may occur and to have more knowledge on said topics. I am one of those people who has a passion for learning. Although it may not ideal, I give up everything in order for me to be able to continue my education. I try my best to not miss a day of school for an appointment that is not needed
I endeavor to obtain excellence in my academics; I wish to exemplify scholarship by constantly asking the whys and hows of things. I will not let a bad grade define who I am as a student or who I will become. I also want to take the most challenging classes available, not because it will look good on my college application, but because I genuinely love the concept of learning and discovering new things. Education doesn’t end after high school, so I plan to attend university, eager to attain the knowledge to better understand my world: and expand it.
Mario Andretti once said, “Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal - a commitment to excellence - that will enable you to attain the success you seek.” Andretti’s words are as true today as when he spoke them. Everyday should be a continuous journey to get to your goal. Starting off with the right step is a major component. Therefore, I chose to apply to Stanly Early College High. I believe that I have the ability to work up to Stanly Early College standards. Determination, dedication, and desire are all qualities that I have.
I truly hope that you will take my application into consideration for the Loyola University Maryland School of Education. Teaching and education is a passion of mine and I feel that this graduate program will help me hone my skills to become a well-rounded and effective educator. I bring to the table experience in academic research and applied experience as an employee of the Harford County Public Schools.
College Admissions Essay If someone asked me where I am going to be in ten years, this would be my answer. I have a great, high-paying job, and beautiful wife and family, and a nice sports car parked in front of my lovely house. When I look into the future, I see myself being successful and happy. Even though I always pictured myself this way, I never worried too much about how I would get there.
When I first started to apply to colleges I just told the truth about who I was. I did not try to put on a courageous act. I just wanted them to see that I may be just as qualified as anyone else, but the difference between us is that I want it so badly. I really did not care where I got accepted; I just wanted to go to college and be someone. Just being there would be a chance to prove that I am worth taking a second look at. See, I am not a rich girl who has always gotten what I wanted, and because I want this so badly, I don't want anyone to take it from me. I worked hard to be who I am, and the great part about it is that I have ambition and I am a goal reacher.
Every senior high school student deals with the stress of getting into a college or a university. For example, an article called “The Absurdity of College Admissions” By Alia Wong says, “For all but a tiny handful of the hundreds of thousands of teenagers who applied—pouring countless hours into agonizing over forms”(Wong Atlantic). Students are dealing with writing college essay with each college application that the student is applying for has a different topic. Every university wants to find the best student to fit in their institution. According to “Where College Admissions Went Wrong” by Alia Wong says, “The obsession with admitting well-rounded students has percolated throughout the higher-education landscape over the decades, making

In conclusion, I was fortunate enough to understand many important things in life. One of those things is that we do not always begin at the desired start line, but through effort and strong will we can arrive at the desired finish line, where the outcome of our plans and goals reside. In my pursuit of education, I faced many challenges and hardships, but I always viewed them as temporary setbacks not as a finish line. I am certain that an opportunity to study at the UW would help me reach my finish line.
I try to take everything in life day by day and to try and not panic or get overwhelmed. Staying focused can be hard but I am doing everything I can to keep my grades up and stay out of trouble. I have learned that it is best if I stay out of drama and just keep my head in the books. I have made it a habit to be to school on time and try to make the best out of every situation. Nobody can take my knowledge away from me, so I doing all I can to get

My love for business is not something I was born with. It took over a decade of experience and exploration to discover my passion. This discovery began ten years ago when I accepted a position at The Pitney Bowes Corporation. My job was to make unsolicited phone calls to prospective businesses in order to sell our base model postage meter. All that was required was reading a script, word for word, to potential buyers. Yet, after a week of working at Pitney Bowes, I still didn't know important details about the meter, like what it looked like, and how it actually operated. My manager acted a bit surprised when I asked to see the meter, but she agreed, and I took a walk to an adjacent building where I saw first hand what I was selling. It looked completely different from what I had expected, but by viewing and touching it first hand, my ability to convey to people what I was offering improved dramatically. Once I viewed the device, I felt more confident to adlib on the sales pitch. In a couple of weeks reading my hybrid pitch led to a higher rate of sales. People were more apt to buy from someone who sounded like a person and less like a robot. My sales steadily improved and in my third month I was the number one sales person out of over 200 employees. Management implemented some of my changes in the selling process and as a result, overall sales of the entry model postage meter increased significantly.
...urity would make my experience at University of Southern California a challenging and an exciting one.
One major mistake people often overlook is, just because a school is well-known, it does not mean it is the best education to pay for. In order to pursue my career in a medical field, I need to attend a college that best supplies their students with prime education, along with a college that has some sort of reputation in the country. Out of my top three choices, UCI had the lowest ranking, lowest tuition, and highest acceptance rate. Although UCI isn’t such a notorious school in the nation, it offers an affordable tuition along with an achievable acceptance rate and requirements that I can attain.
One thing that is critical I feel that the Uc's should know is that although I don't have the highest test scores or have a multitude of college classes on my transcript, I am still a great canidate because although I could have taken all those extra exams and all those college classes, instead I spent my extra time taking care of my family members and working a job to take away the burden from my family of having to pay for all my things. In my personal opion I believe I learned just as many things or more that prepare me for college by doing those things than if I would have taken college courses or extra exams. As is seen on my transcript when I was in school I took advantage of the time and excelled in all the oppurtuniys that where given
Education is extremely important to me. I grew up being constantly pushed to strive in academics. I enjoyed excelling in my education and I believe I succeeded, due to the fact that I was in the top ten students in my high school for all four years.
