Motivation to learning Motivation is really important tool in a learning environment. Also motivation effects student learning and their behavior as well. It directs behavior towards particular targets. Also it effect the decision which students takes. In motivation mainly we have two types which is intrinsically and extrinsically being motivated. For example: when a student is intrinsically motivated they just do it for themselves not because of the reward that they will get back. It’s just because they have their own interest and they enjoy doing that. On the other side, when a student is extrinsically motivated they just do it for the reward that they will get. For example; when a person feel like that his or her arousal level is going down then to rise that he or she might go for a jog or listen to music. Actually, we all believe that in today’s world in the pressure of the competition of achieving good grades we as a teachers even forget to see the pressure of the students. And many students interest to learn is no longer there. So, we need to change this. In order to change this we have to make our learning environment a place where students arousal level of motivation is rising not decreased. For example; we can use music in the art class (drawing with music) also doing small group activities.etc… The next theory is expectancy theory of motivation: expectancy theory of motivation suggest that we think about our future. We create different expectations about what is going to happen next, and we always want a positive outcome. We believe that we have the ability to get the best. This motivate us to work hard in order to achieve the goal towards we work. This theory of motivation is the best tool for students because if we hope then only we can work. Like free 10 minutes or a movie time in the next class. This way students will not feel bored and this way they will feel more active in the work.  Provide choices for students: we should always provide students with more choices, so they will be able to work in the categories that they have interest in. for example: let’s say it’s a science class and the topic is systems in the body. And the choices under this topic is given like digestive system, nervous system, etc… and students can choose any body system they like to write about. This way student will learn how to make decisions on their own and they will be intrinsically motivated. At the end I would like to include that the most important thing in learning process is being intrinsically motivated. Because it satay us lifelong.
