The writing process can be as frustrating as trying to organize and clean your kitchen. The writing process can be difficult because you have to complete the writing process step-by-step and it sometimes can give you quite a hard time. My writing process consists of several steps and I compare those steps to the operation of organizing and cleaning my kitchen. The writing process for me includes, pre-writing my essay by brainstorming, building upon my ideas, discovering an attention-grabbing introduction sentence, revising my essay, proofreading, writing a final draft and publishing the essay. The very first step to cleaning a kitchen is to gather up all of the cleaning supplies such as, bleach, paper towels, a mop, and a broom. These supplies are crucial for helping cleaning a kitchen because without the supplies, cleaning would be a very ambitious task. Just as you would clean a kitchen, the first step of the …show more content…
This is where you finish up on cleaning and add personalized trinkets to your kitchen. Just like personalizing a kitchen, the next step of my writing process is to edit my essay. Editing is very important when writing an essay, when you edit your essay you have to make sure your writing is clear, your grammar is correct, and everything flows together. In the editing stage, it is helpful to have a second pair of eyes read over your essay. This is where peer review comes in and your classmates read over your paper and voice their opinion. Having someone else revise and edit your essay will be very beneficial because you can make some simple mistakes and the reader can correct you on them. When writing a paper the process can vary from a few hours to several days. English teachers have several different ways they teach their students how to write as well as the method to use. Knowing the perfect way to prepare to write for a paper takes several years to master. Once you know what method works best for you, writing becomes less stressful. Preparing for the rhetorical analysis paper, I used all the best methods to have a smooth transaction from the begging till the end.
Writing is a process I’ve grown to despise. Ever since grade school, I’ve had problems trying to express my ideas on paper. My writing process involves thinking about what’s being asked and trying to reflect my thoughts the best way I can on paper, but my thoughts don’t always come out as clear as I want them to be sometimes leaving a question not fully answered. My writing process isn’t a consistent set in stone process, but since being in ENC 1101 I always follow some of the same parameters such as revising my drafts, grammar usage and considering context and audience.

I am sitting in my bed, thinking about my process of writing as I am trying to go through it. It seems the more I think about it, the less I understand it. When I am writing, I don’t think. Which I know, sounds bad. But, I spend every single moment of every single day over thinking, over analyzing, and over assuming every aspect of my life. When I’m writing, I’m free from that for just a little bit. Until of course, my hands stop typing or the pencil (no pens- never pens) stops moving, then I’m right back on the carousel that is my brain. Heidi Estrem says, “...writers use writing to generate knowledge that they didn’t have before.” (Writing is a Knowledge-Making Activity 18). I believe my ability to write without an exact destination
“If writing didn 't require thinking then we 'd all be doing it.” (Jeremiah Laabs). Whether a person is aware of it or not, there is a process to writing that everyone goes through. Business Writing Developing a Professional Writing Style Rupa Subramanian M/W 1:10 [Introduction] My writing style and attitude towards writing have changed a lot from when I completed my undergraduate degree to when I started business school last May. There have been many factors that have impacted my writing and have led to strengths in some types of writing and weaknesses in others. The following paper outlines how my family and culture, work experience, and personality have influenced and shaped my writing style. My goal by the end of this paper is to understand these factors, reflect on the impact, and make a course of action to allow me to become a well-rounded writer.
Style is the way you write. The way you express the piece you are writing. Everyone has there own style of writing. It can change all the time. It can mature with you through out everything you go through.
When I was younger I absolutely hated reading and writing. I was a perfectionist and if I couldn’t do it perfectly the first time then I wouldn’t do it at all. Thankfully my teacher at the time managed to get me to sit down and practice sounding out the words on the page in front of me. My teacher enlisted the help of my mother and they made sure I read a full chapter every day. At first it was torture, but I slowly started to look forward to sitting down to read a book.
I would like to call my experience of writing as the life of reading and writing. In my opinion, writing can not be achieved without reading. When we are in elementary school, we start writing. We know how to read words before we start writing words. Before we start writing, we already read a lot.
- Nowadays, writing has become a powerful tool that many people use around the world as a form to express, transmit, communicate, and document one’s vivid stories, thoughts, inspirations, sentiments, experiences, and desires. In addition to writing, several methods have been developed to refine and facilitate the communications among people, such as; freewriting, looping, brainstorming, questioning, interviewing, and clustering. Having said that, these methods are used depending on the writer’s personal preferences to aid during their writing process. The writing process is followed by four fundamental stages that all writers apply during their works: prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing.
When learning how to read and write, the first step was to learn reading because it is not possible to write when one does not know how to read. When learning how to read, the child starts by reading simple words and the letters. After being in a position to identify the letters, then they will learn by reading word by word. And these are the simple words. That is when a child starts by writing these simple words.

That challenge of writing is always in the process targeting the audience, and the purpose writing a letter or writing for leisure or fun is completely different.
