Continuing Student Scholarship I have always had love for Westminster College ever since I came to the school for the first time in junior high school. I knew then this is the school for me. As a continuing student I know the value of Westminster and how this school changes lives and helps so many. If I were to selected receive a scholarship from a donor I would want them to know how I was going to help the community in the present and in the future. I also would love to share my knowledge and skills I learned with future students at Westminster College. Lastly I would want them to know how I can help and continually be involved in the Westminster college community for years to come. I love helping other people it is my passion and my calling
After being nominated for the Frank W. Buckely Scholarship Application, I can honestly say I am more honored. When I began my journey at Texas A&M University-Commerce I was lost. I randomly chose Journalism as my major and had no idea what exactly I was getting into.
If I can impact one patient’s life the way she has mine, than the 7 years of my childhood spent in a hospital and the 7 years of schooling I am currently at the beginning of will absolutely be worth it. A scholarship would allow me to more smoothly get to the point where I can truly make a difference. With the help of a scholarship, I can focus on becoming the best physical therapist I can possibly be and worry less about the financial burden it puts on my family and me. I fully understand the privilege that it is to be able to obtain a college education, and I am determined not to squander that privilege. With the amount of time I have spent as a patient, I know I will bring a unique outlook to the field; all I need are the tools to get
Without college it would be impossible for me to become a pediatric nurse, so this scholarship would make a big difference in my life and help me change not only my community but also other communities. Since many people are in my situation in my community and are lost as to how to get into a college, and which college is the perfect college for them I can help them by telling them that the University of North Carolina at Greensboro helped me. With me spreading the word about UNCG being apart of my life and helping make it possible, a lot of people around me and younger than me will want to go also because they will want to be successful in life as the get older too. With all of the opportunities you offer at UNCG including studying abroad I believe I will grow into a very strong and smart adult attending this school. I brought up studying abroad because this is a great example of me having to learn how to be mature and be on my own so it will take a lot of growing for me to do
One of my dreams is to attend Arkansas State. I desire to not only to earn my degree but make a difference on campus and in the community. ASU Scholarship funds will benefit me not only financially, but academically and personally.
I am Sgt. Shyam Panchal of the 810 Grant McConachie RCACS, and this is my fourth year as a participant of the Air Cadet program. It has been my childhood interest to become an aeronautical engineer. Whenever I looked up to see an airplane soaring through the sky, I questioned myself: how is it that this phenomenon of lift happens in such a massive aircraft? I kept questioning myself and I kept learning more about the vast array of physical spectacles that made lift of an airplane possible. At the age of twelve, when I came across the Air Cadet program, I just knew that this would be a fundamental step to a success in my ambition. Furthermore, I came to know that Air Cadets offers a summer scholarship course for learning how to fly a glider.
I believe that I should be the frontrunner to win the CNB Bank Scholarship because of my work ethic with at my education as well as my past and current accomplishments. To start, I feel that the recipient of the CNB Bank Scholarship should display persistent work ethic. Throughout my four years at Bradford Area High School I have accomplished many achievements. During my education it is to my knowledge that I have never missed an assignment deadline. I feel that this credits the effort I put into my education. I managed to meet these deadlines while juggling two different jobs. The person to win the CNB Bank Scholarship should be someone who represents their community and their selves accordingly. From the time that I walked into kindergarten to now I am still yet to be disciplined in school, whether it is for academic or behavioral reasons. When speaking about the community, I have donated numerous personal hours to help charities raise money. In
An opportunity for this immense amount is not given every day. I am the first generation to ever go to college and to be born in the United States. I would love to receive this opportunity and make my family proud. I have been academically and personally challenged throughout my high school career. I consider this opening of academic accomplishment to myself and my community. If I receive the POSSE Foundation scholarship is a way for me to thank my parents for all the sacrifices they have made for me and my brothers. I want to show them that when they came to the United States was not a lost cause and have succeeded their goal for their children to receive advanced education. My culture values collegiate learning preciously and immensely. I
I see the world as my community, and I take responsibility of making the world better than what it was. For me to receive this scholarship it will reduce an educational barrier, this scholarship will make college seem less of a dream and more of a reality. I want to be a blessing to others and by furthering my education I will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to tackle the world. I believe college prepares you for a world that is yet to come and I plan to use the lessons I learned to overcome the corruption in the world.
I am writing in response regarding a position in the field of finance. I am currently working in obtaining my bachelor’s degree in Finance at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Throughout my college career, I have been faced with several challenges, but I do not always succeed. I have failed at times along the way, but I have tried my best to learn from those failures. In my resume, I have pointed out some of my academic, work, and activity highlights, but with it I have pointed out the failures behind it. I have learned that these failures are not always a bad thing or the end of my story.
I am Linh Nguyen, and I am full-time student in Lone star College. I am glad to know that I have received Scholarship of Rotary Club. I wrote this letter of thanks to Cypress Fairbanks Rotary Club Scholarship.
Thanks to her, I applied to a bunch of scholarships which I luckily got them all. A total of ten scholarships were given to me from different entities. I even got published in the local news’ papers in three different occasions. She also helped me to apply for colleges in which I got accepted in the majority of them. Doing poorly on the SAT because of my English limitations was the reason why those universities denied me the opportunity.
Four years of my undergraduate study have exposed me to a plethora of sub disciplines in Computer Science because of which my knowledge is not limited to any particular topic. However, a graduate study in Computer Science will help me increase my knowledge in areas which are of particular interest to me. My primary interests lie in the fields of Data Mining and Machine Learning. I believe pursuing a graduate program at XYZ University will be the ideal step towards fulfilling my career aspirations.
I do not want any financial reasons to come between me in having a higher education and feel that this scholarship will be a tremendously help in centering more on school other than worrying about money. I feel I deserve this scholarship because I have always and will continue to represent and make a good example not just as a UC Merced student, but also as a student of the CalTeach program. I hope you take me into high considerations in being an applicant of this
The Walton International Scholarship program is a blessing in the life of every single person that has it. First of all, WISP is a program that gives scholarship to people from Central America and Mexico so that outstanding students can attend one of the three Christian colleges in Arkansas: John Brown University, University of the Ozarks, and Harding University. The students attend the four years of college then they have to go back to their countries and stay there for unless four years.
I am always looking ahead and planning for the future. I expect excellence from myself and I thrive to be better everyday for the people around me or my teammates on the basketball court. This is why I set goals for myself daily, to inspire people in the world, to make an impact, and finding a job in the future to pursue. These are all my goals that I want to achieve and college will play a huge part in this. College will give me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and meet new people, finding what to major in, and participating in clubs and organizations with multiple people. Also, I am going to play college basketball so I will be getting to know the girls on my team and how I am going to make an impact. College is going to give me the best chance to succeed in life in order to achieve my goals.
