I arrived at the University of Ingolstad still emotionally rocked at my mothers recent depart from this world sadly dying from scarlet fever. On a watchful eye of professor Waldman. I was determined to create life no matter the cost to me all that mattered was the ability I needed to learn to be able to create life.
Differences in mentoring and guiding styles of the mentors can have a considerable influence and impact on the mentee’s development of the skills and personalities. Through the arrogant and ambitious yet skillful guidance of Dr. Blalock, Vivien Thomas is able to learn how to rightfully challenge conventional theories in order to develop revolutionary changes in science. Additionally, Thomas also gains more confidence in himself and has the courage to stand up against discrimination. On the other hand, I have also learned how to be diligent and passionate about what I do as a consequence of Dr. Cron’s caring and dedicated mentoring styles. In the end, the tutelage and guidance of the mentors can have lasting effects on their mentees’ lives.
“As an athlete he’s dropped his 200-meter and hurdle times. He’s become a leader on the track and he’s matured in the classroom. He’s really become an all-around student athlete, and the face you’d want for your organization.”

As Shanna-Kay’s supervisor, I have seen her work with a talented group of students in way that inspires and encourages, but also challenges them to think about how they can be their best and serve the community in the most positive way. Throughout the year, she sought advice on how to best meet the needs of these students, how to empower them, and generally how to support them in their attempt to be present and a part of a community that always needs the presence of a hall council wanting to grow the

If it keeps progressing, we as citizens will have to vote on it. It affects most of our lives in a personal way. Most of you know at least one person with diabetes, Alzheimer’s, or Parkinson’s. Perhaps even you will face one of these illnesses at some point in your life. It is important to know about issues like stem cell research, which can help many people in our society.
Micah Harris was a man who was no stranger to success. A 2001 Poland graduate who was a gifted athlete and a brilliant student, Harris did not let his accomplishments go to his head. He remained humble and used his talents to uplift others. Harris’s philosophy has certainly impacted my life in my strive for success. I myself have also always believed that it is important to remain true to oneself once you have achieved success. I have done my best to conduct myself with humility and remain respectful and compassionate towards others when I achieved success both on the field and in the classroom.

It hasn't always been what we expected and certainly not easy, but as we progressed down the road, we stretched ourselves to reach across barriers and found ourselves in new and expanding roles. We were given the opportunity to explore our interests and discover what really excites us. We have become more independent and complete individuals. Our growth and self-discovery has placed us here tonight.
