I think your post is interesting, and I take my experience when I started college for the first time. I realized that it was important to understand and use technologies to survive in college, because everything begins to change and needed to use technology to get through the classes and learn a more information. Technology gives us the opportunity to have easy access to search for jobs and directions to gain more knowledge. But like everything technology also have good thing and bad for example in my case I was a person that learned people phone by heart as soon I used dial the number but now see everything is program in my phone I just had touch the screen and that’s it. The title of chapter one is called Introduction to Interpersonal communication. This chapter is mainly talking about interpersonal communication among materials that are very important to us such as interpersonal communication to our life, interpersonal communication and social media and interpersonal communication principles. They are many more that was talked about in the chapter put those three were the main thing that stood out to me. In every society nonverbal communication is one of the most powerful tools that a person can use to interpret the message that is being delivered. Even though verbal communication is fairly straightforward, nonverbal communication allows others to sense the true emotions of the person that is expressing them. For example even though a person may say that they are not irritated, their usage of voice may display otherwise. Nonverbal communication not only reveals hidden messages, but it also complements, substitutes, and exaggerates verbal communication.
Based on the Bevel Up video, there are two scenarios featured on the Bevel Up clip. For the first nurse-client pair with the younger guy, let us label them as Nurse-Client A and for the second nurse-client pair with the older guy in a wheelchair, they will be Nurse-Client B. Unfortunately, uncomfortable situations within the workplace occur more often than one would think. However, nurse leaders that are comfortable in handling chaos, crucial conversations, and lateral violence are a step above the rest. To start, when working with multiple employees that are all diverse and unique, plus working with those staff members in a constantly changing field is going to be difficult at times. In order to properly handle the chaos and crucial conversations, the nurse leader needs to master dialogue, instead of monologue. In other words, each staff member wants their opinion to be heard so, no matter how different it may be, leaders need to listen to their employees during times of chaos. Furthermore, listening and allowing employees to voice their opinion will allow solutions to be discovered together in order to fix the problem. Often, crucial conversations are uncomfortable for both the nurse leader and employee, but are necessary in order to do what is best for all (Roussel, Thomas, & Harris, 2016).
The purpose of this paper is not to teach you, or to show you how interpersonal communication is essential to everyday life at home or work. But, I am going to do my best to at least show you how essential communication skills are in all areas of life by using me as the example. My plan is to focus on some of the elements of interpersonal communication that we have been touching on this semester. Interpersonal communication is one of the significant skills while communicating with other individuals. It normally covers an extensive area and includes both verbal and non-verbal communication. Body language and facial expression may affect the accurateness of the message transmission directly. Interpersonal communication skills normally ensure that the message is sent and received correctly without any alteration thus improving the communication efficiency. Learning diverse aspects of interpersonal communication has greatly aided me in better understanding of what it consists. I am capable of applying the knowledge gained from this course to my personal experiences. This paper reflects on my personal experience in learning interpersonal communication.
Technology has had a negative impact on education by causing distractions during class lectures and assignments. The over use of technology is leading to a loss in communication skills and troubles in reading. The use of technology causes many people to have the temptation for cheating in and out of classrooms, resulting in students not wanting to study.
