Accountants work in a high stress environment where it is vital to remain detailed, honest, and most importantly organized. Accountants must thrive and be responsible as they play role in their client’s financial future. At a younger age, I developed a quality known as organization; I can now say it is a successful element in my field. An accountant should be a very organized person who is also comfortable working in structured environments. This quality makes me unique because organization sets patterns and routines; it reflects how I portray myself and what kind of work I am capable of doing for myself and for my future employer. When caretaking for children, it is necessary for me to have an organized schedule that reminds me what the children must do that day. Whether it is meals, activities, bed or clean up time, I am able to plan their daily routines and mine together. For instance, the children are scheduled to eat breakfast at 8am; afterwards they are allowed to play until lunchtime, after lunch the children must take a nap until the time they wake up. While the children take their nap, I am then able to study and do other work. Although, being a caretaker requires full-undivided attention for the children, I endure to find a way that I can balance my time so that I can continue to provide benefit not only to myself but also for the individuals I work for. An external reminder lets me know what I need to do and when it needs to be done; in the accounting field, external reminders are important to have when dealing with multiple tasks.
