Before stating my career goals, I would like to mention my motivation in choosing accounting as my career path, the origin of which is elaborated in essay three. First and foremost, the world-class accounting scholars, including distinguished accounting historian Stephen A. Zeff- a member of The Accounting Hall of Fame, attract me. Besides their outstanding academic achievement, the rigor and zeal to students also left me a deep impression, when professor Benjamin Lansford helped me to evaluate my prerequisites over email.

Moreover, the interdisciplinary curriculums designed for students with non-accounting background suit me fine. As a Chinese student majored in electronic commerce and minored in accounting, I hope to take advantage of my disciplinary perspective, dual language ability, and global vision, to understand how business and accounting interacts.
