One way of we can attempt to define is through characteristics of the leader, the followers, and the situation (Yukl, 2013). However a boss only supervises over his subordinates. Power naturally comes to a leader but that power is not a tool of leader. Rather if one tries to control the circumstances with power it turns out to be authoritarian or even suppressive in its expression.

The role of the Vice-President is more than waiting to become the President. Individuals who become the Vice-President should feel a sense of individual ownership of their position. The Vice-President is an office of importance and integrity as is it is crucial to the success of an overall entity.
