Impacting My Future Every day. Every moment. Every second has an impact on my future. It would be a great honor to receive such a scholarship. Since the day I was born, my parents have provided for me in every way imaginable. To say I am blessed is an understatement. My parents have sacrificed so much of their time and money to make sure I am provided for. Since I was nine years old, I have always had a passion for shooting. My parents spent many weekends allowing me to practice and improve myself. They saw the passion I had, and pushed me to reach my fullest potential. They have paid for every shooting entry fee and shotgun shells. When I turned sixteen, my parents bought me a truck. My family has given me so much in the past eighteen years, and I would like to give back to them. Attending college is the next stepping stone in my life, after I graduate high school. College is very expensive and it will place a giant burden on my family, financially. Receiving this scholarship …show more content…
Receiving this scholarship will allow me to appreciate the kind souls that God has placed on this earth. People who support education make it possible for high school graduating seniors to build a better future for themselves. This scholarship will help me pave my own new path towards my dream of becoming a physical therapist. For many college freshman, tuition places a large amount of stress on college students before they even start their classes. Receiving this scholarship would relieve some stress and would better prepare me for my future. The scholarship would advance my future in many ways. It would allow my family and I to have less money to pay back as well as less interest. By having some financial stability from receiving the scholarship, I would be able to focus more on my studies instead of worrying about how I will pay for student loans and
I would benefit from this scholarship because not only would it help with the cost of my tuition, but the support will also help lessen my worries about my finances. This scholarship will help my parents as well since they are helping me with my college education. During the past two months and currently, my dad has been in the hospital due to having pancreatitis. In August when he was introduced with it, he went into septic shock and that day he had coded seven times. It is a miracle that he is with my family still, and with the support of this scholarship, it would help out a lot due to the medical bills that my family has. As in the past, I will work
In a world where most college freshmen do not graduate or dropout, i feel like it would mean to much more to me to graduate and be able to say I got my degree. studies have said that half of freshman will not complete there degree, another study said that 25% of freshmen will change their major before they finish their sophomore year. If i was given this scholarship money it would put me in a place where hopefully I won't become just another statistic. Another reason a college degree is important for me to achieve is so that i will be respected in my work industry of choice. When you are in a place of work, there is always someone who everyone looks up to because they know the most about certain things, but more often than not that person has the highest degree in his or her field. If I was awarded this scholarship i would be more capable of being that person because i would not have to worry about leaving school to figure out how I will pay off my
My parents will have two kids in college at once, one after the other, and this scholarship would help them with the expenses that they will have to pay. College Raptor has also given me an idea on what schools to look at, and colleges that I didn’t even know was close to home. The schools all have information that is available without going to each
I am very happy that CSULB has this opportunity for us students and personally I feel this scholarship would alleviate some of my financial hardship and empower me to continue making school my number one priority. I am convinced I am making a good decision for my future by increasing my focus on school, but, I also recognize that I cannot do it on my own and I must make every effort to stay ahead of my expenses. The 49ers scholarship would supply me with the extra income to buy and keep my books at the end of the semester instead of renting them. This is a luxury that I cannot afford to make every semester especially with the low amount of hours I am currently dedicating to work. The center for scholarship made this opportunity in part to “increase access to books” and so that students “may focus on their academic endeavors”. Earning this scholarship would do exactly that and more and for my
This scholarship would help me be able to afford going to college and getting a doctrine in Psychology. Having this scholarship would mean I would not have to take a loan or could take a smaller loan to pay for collage. Loans, especially school loans, have caused many individuals to be in debt. I do not want to graduate college and already have an enormous amount of debt to try and pay off. Collage is expensive especially for a one income family. My mother has no savings at all and barely makes ends meet each mother. This year she had to file bankruptcy so she did not lose the house. There is no possible way she could help me with college. Getting this scholarship would lessen my mothers worries and give me peace at mind knowing my education is payed for and debt is not looming at my door.
I choose to challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes. I can overcome obstacles that stand in my way and persevere through tough problems. I participate in school through my involvement in Student Council as an Executive Treasurer, Key Club as an active member, Varsity Tennis, Science Club, Band as Section Leader and National Honor Society. As well as in school, I help out in my community, whether it’s at my church, as a volunteer at the Bitterroot Public Library, or helping to preserve the Daly Mansion. If I am awarded this scholarship, I will use it towards college tuition and I will work hard to pursue my career as an
An opportunity for this immense amount is not given every day. I am the first generation to ever go to college and to be born in the United States. I would love to receive this opportunity and make my family proud. I have been academically and personally challenged throughout my high school career. I consider this opening of academic accomplishment to myself and my community. If I receive the POSSE Foundation scholarship is a way for me to thank my parents for all the sacrifices they have made for me and my brothers. I want to show them that when they came to the United States was not a lost cause and have succeeded their goal for their children to receive advanced education. My culture values collegiate learning preciously and immensely. I
I always have gave someone a hand when they needed it most. I love helping everyone I can. I have set goals for myself in the future for my education and my career. I have a plan to make sure I achieve my goals, I want to major in Nursing. I have selected this major because I want to help people when they are at their worst, to get better. I love helping people and making them feel better. This major will help me achieve my goal because I want to go as far as I can with my education and I want to become a Registered Nurse. My plans are to work in a pediatric doctors office or, hospital. Getting this scholarship will help me to focus more on school instead of my job to pay off school.
Being a first generation student, my parents always emphasized the importance of school and the many opportunities I have, that they never had growing up. I remember looking at some universities’ tuitions my sophomore year and wondered, “how can anyone afford to pay this much?” Although at first just the thought of college scared me, I knew I couldn’t accomplish anything, much less pay for college, being scared. Listening to my parents’ advice, I decided to embrace the opportunities I was given, including this scholarship. Even though, applying does not guarantee me this scholarship or any for that matter, it is a risk I am willing to take and an opportunity I am not willing to
Receiving my first collegiate scholarship was a very important point in my life. This is a wonderful experience that I would like to thank you for personally. I concluded my second year with all A’s and a cumulative 3.87 GPA. This summer I worked on a research project within the communication college at Ohio State, and in the fall I will begin my third year of college as a strategic communication major. I also hold multiple part time jobs, one of which being an audio visual technician in the Ohio Union. This scholarship will greatly alleviate some financial stress my parents and I have met during my time as a student.
It will allow continuing helping the community by volunteering at the hospital during academic studies. In general, the scholarship assistance will fill the financial difficulties gap and will allow being successful in my higher education long-term goals. Jesus taught the whole world that if you get to benefit from the community, you always remember and generous to the community. The scholarship will teach me as a philanthropic person to help others when I become financially able to donate. I came from a long journey to be able to admit to the University of Arizona pharmacy college.
Having this scholarship would be a blessing it would motivate me more. Most importantly for my country, and for my family who is hoping for a beautiful carrier from me. I will be able to finish early, and be on the field on my major as soon as possible. This scholarship will be one of the key of what gives me strength and motivation to keep going. Because it has been more than a beautiful and instructive journey here at Miami Dade College,
This scholarship would help me pursue a career in art education. This career is ideal because I want to influence and help teenagers through any hardships and stressors that may
These scholarships will help depending on what’s available. For example when I’m a Junior in high school I will be very interested in money that I don’t have to pay back.
I consider myself more in need and I need the scholarship more, than any other student. the reason why is because I'm an undocumented student at Sampson community college. An undocummented student who is paying out of state tuition, becaue undocumented students in North Carolina are not considered residents of this state. Being an undocumented student here at Sampson it’s a great privilege for me, since I have always believed that there wasn’t a place for me to continue
