High School

For high school, I plan to take many science and, obviously, psychology courses. Psychology classes will supply background knowledge and a basis to start my learning. These classes aid in coming to a decision about if this career truly does interest me and if I could picture myself as a psychologist. Furthermore, ending with a high average in the course will show my ability to comprehend the information and provide evidence I can succeed in college psychology classes. This would lead universities to have an interest in my education based on my past experience and expertise on the course. I set high goals for my future prompting myself to take as many advanced classes as possible. My grades have always been, and will continue to be the most important aspect of school. I still wish to play sports for school and will remain active on my free time. My goal is to play one sport every season and also participate on my own soccer association I am committed to now. Extra curricular clubs at school will also be something I strive to be a part of and exceptionally involved with. It will look good on a college application and contribute to further accomplishments. In high school, to achieve all I hope to, time management and decision making will be detrimental. I expect myself to be stressed at times and forced to make tough decisions about my future. Psychology, General, narrows in on examining a person’s behavior and treatments to illness or disorders. This is a more popular course considering 45 colleges in North Carolina give a bachelors degree in the program. Among some of those were well known colleges suchs as Appalachian, Duke, and Wake Forest University. Applied Psychology on the other hand was not as available. This class is mainly about using your knowledge in psychology, such as methods or ideas, in real world situation that are likely to happen. This will help any striving psychologist to use their education for something that counts. The only university that offers Applied Psychology is Belmont Abbey College. Finally, Experimental Psychology, the one I am most interested in taking, is a class that specializes in studying the human brain in an experimental based environment using data and scientific finding. Unfortunately, there is one college in North Carolina that gives an Experimental Program: South University-High
