My senior year is very important and that is why I must use it efficiently. There are many things I hope to accomplish during my senior year. I hope to get certified in the areas in which I have been training for. Getting into college so that I can be successful is the main goal in my life is. I hope to get accepted to a college or university by the end of my senior year. My schedule will be busy but I will hopefully have a future. Grades are one of the most important factors of my high school career. My grade point average and my SAT's determine what college I go to. They determine my effort at high school. I must do whatever possible to keep my grade point average above 3.0. My GPA currently is ok, but if I could increase it by just .2 I would be much better off. Grades are very crucial for getting acceptance to college. They are one of the major things that colleges look at to accept you (or so I have been told). So I will keep pushing myself so that my grades will increase this year, making it possible for me to hopefully enter a better school then I can right now. My extra activities are important so that I can get accepted in to colleges instead of other people. I have been training to get certified in computer repair; I hope to finally get certified this year. Work experience and the laptop club are activities that I joined in hope of filling up space on college applications, giving an extra edge (something to make me better then others). Any computer or business related extra activities would help me. College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college. With college I will further my business career, making more successful in the field I enjoy doing.
Worrying too much about grades can cause students serious problems like not really understanding the work, make them not feel smart enough and lose interest in school and can cause anxiety and other health issues. In the article Mr. Bains said “ Indeed, there are several problems with strategic learners” (Project Information Literacy October 10, 2012 page1/4). One of the problems is students don 't really understand what they are learning if once they reach that high grade they want they will just stop. I am very guilty of only performing for the grade because I did it all throughout high school. I was taught that getting an A was the highest grade you can get so once I reached that A I...
One of the proudest accomplishments of my life was earning my high school diploma, despite all the hard work that led me where I am today was well worth it. Many people would expect me to say I am coming to college to better myself as a person or to continue my education. The truth is I want to change a life in my community, make my parents proud of their daughter and start a tradition in my family.
In closing, college will be a great opportunity for me to create lifelong memories and friends. College will not only set me on the path of success, but will also inspire other people and maybe even my future kids to get a college
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
My Senior year in High School has officially begun, only one more year at Corona High. I know that Senior year is supposed to be fun, but I believe every year is an opportunity to improve. I have already set my goals for this school year. I believe I can achieve a GPA of 4.0 or above. However, there are some personal goals that I need to complete first. I need to stop my terrible habit of procrastinating. Another goal of mine is to pass my AP tests so I can earn college credit. I also want to learn new things, so I started to learn the basics of Coding, now I need to finish this course. These are some things I look to accomplish this year.
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
In October of 2015, I was at the beginning of my sophomore year. Everything seemed to be in a routine. I had one brother who was eight at the time and we pretty much knew the schedule of our family which was wake up, go to school, attend our after school sports/work, and then start over the next day. Nothing ever occurred to either of us that this might change we knew that I was the oldest and he was the youngest and that was how it was going to be for the rest of our life no questions asked. God had other plans for the Spyker family.
My main goal is to get an athletic scholarship. I won't be able to get one though if my grades aren't good and I can't have that happen. Education will be able to help me continue to do what I love. I plan to keep doing what I am doing in school so I can leave Freeburg knowing I am set for the next few years in my academic and sports filled life.
I am immensely satisfied with the grades that I earned during my high school career. Getting good grades has never been too much of a struggle for me as I am raised by parents who are both teachers and encourage me to excel in the classroom everyday. I comprehend quickly and enjoy learning as it will make my future brighter. There have been times when I spent countless weekends doing all of my homework instead of enjoying it with friends, but those times have been worth it because my grade point average is a 4.22. I have learned something from every class that I have taken, whether is was a mathematical formula in calculus or how to take care of residents in nursing homes for my SNA class. All of this knowledge will help grow
Growing up I was always told that I had to attend college and be something great. So I guess in a sense I have to prove to myself and others that I can achieve this. When I graduate it will give me a piece of mind knowing that I did what I was destined to do. Graduating and receiving my degree will be one of my greatest accomplishments.
The final focus I have, but certainly not the least, is to be successful in my endeavors throughout college. Seeing how much my parents cared for me by seeing them work as hard as they could just so my siblings and I could live a better life gives me all the motivation in the world to work as hard as I can to not only give back to them, but for my future children to live an even better life than I am. The lessons I have learned in my life from both my parents and life experiences have fully prepared me to excel in college. Being a part of honors classes and taking multiple advanced placement classes, I believe I am very ready for the workload to come ahead.
High school and senior year, the year that will be your last and you will be heading elsewhere on a different path that may not be the same as everyone around you. As a senior, this article relates to me the most because it talks about what will happen when that final year comes around and the next big step college. The author mentions that she felt different going to a college that isn’t in her hometown with different people and aspects. “When I arrived, for example, I was painfully aware of my background and race because of the predominantly white population around me. I felt the need to explain myself constantly…” ( Navlakha 2).As someone that isn’t of white descent I disagree with this quote. Yes, when you move to a new place you feel uncomfortable
This year I want to work on myself physically, and mentally. I want to become a better student and a better friend. I want to improve myself for next year and the years to come. I want to set 3 goals this year.Next year, I hope to stay on task, get better grades and be a better friend.
As an adult, I have numerous personal goals. Most importantly, I would like to own a home. My goal is to go to college and then have a career. It 's a goal that probably a lot of people have,
