To be able to pass a class this is arguably the most important step which is attending class.
A problem many students and even adults I know have struggled with passing a class and this was due to being absent in that class. There is no way I will pass my classes with being absent because anytime I miss class I miss learning valuable information that can be helpful later on perhaps on a assignment. Missing class will drag me down and hold me back on succeeding. If something is being taught in class and I am not present I will miss out and maybe not be able to catch up on the work because I will be too behind and the teacher may not be able to help me because they may be too busy. Many things can occur during my absence in class and I would be very behind especially if I miss an important assignment then it could make lead me to failure. This step in my plan to succeeding in my classes is one I will follow
everyday. Another step to my action plan on passing my class is once in my class I will participate. To participate I will contribute in sharing my thoughts about what we are learning. When in class I will be more involved in the class by discussing about what is currently going on and discuss what is being taught. Participating will show I understand what is going on and will lead me to be more focus in class. Not being afraid to speak and ask questions especially when I need answers because I don’t completely understand. Participating will play a big role in my journey through college and my current college classes. The grades received are based on the assignments that are assigned to us and it’s our responsibility to complete them and hand them in correct and on time and this is exactly what I will do. Since I know this I made this apart of my action plan. When I am given an assignment I will complete it and revise, edit it and make sure I turn it on time. This step is crucial to my future because if little to no work is turned in there is no way possible I will pass because it will show I am not capable to do my own work. I will do all my work all the time and try my very best on it because I want to pass with a grade that I can be happy with and I will achieve this by following this step. Now you've heard Jonathan’s action plan to be successful in college and even my college class I attend while in high school. These steps are what I will follow until I graduate high school and college with grades that will bring the feeling of accomplishment to me.
...ut fun, I'm stressing my mind too much. Austin Dopp and Thomas Parish created an ABC journal about how to succeed in college. They mentioned that students need to study but also take a break and be ready to learn and pay attention (Dopp, Austin, Parish). Powers and Swick mention in tip seven, celebrate small accomplishments along the way, is that you should celebrate your small accomplish like tests, quiz, and finishing you semester.
As a college freshman, I was worried about so many things coming into college. The biggest and most important thing was how to actually succeed in college. This course has helped me tremendously with succeeding in college. Throughout this semester, we have gone through multiple topics to help us succeed in college. The topics range from effective note taking, caring for yourself, how to succeed in college, understanding who you are, and also to planning your priorities. From taking this class, I have learned many strategies that helped me understand who I am as a person, how to take effective notes, and how to plan my time.
It is easy to forget that a huge part of your success in college is staying healthy, keeping a sharp mind and sound body. It is very important to eat right and to maintain a routine sleeping schedule. Staying active and making sure you get enough sleep so that you can keep yourself healthy. I have always had a strong belief that I could pass college like I did in high school. Always relying on those quick study sessions before a test or having the teacher going over the material right before a test. But boy was I wrong. In my first test I learned the hard way that studying is essential in college.
Everyone wants to better themselves in life…right? No one wants to graduate high school and be stuck living with their parents or only make minimal wage. There are plenty of ways to have a better life, one in which is attending college. If a person attends college, they have a more likely chance of making more money, being more successful, and securing their future financially. Going to college not only leaves someone with better opportunities but it can instill in a person responsibilities, persistency and work ethic. All of these things are important unless a person is born into a rich family and are automatically given a job, the rest of civilization has to work and that is where college comes into play.
In conclusion, my dream is to become successful in college and benefit from college skills that will help me reach my future goals. However, I may have to be prepared for the obstacles that I might encounter, and learn to overcome them. Much of my success will depend upon my willingness to seek advice from experts and professors. In addition, I will have to learn how to build effective strategies that will help me achieve my dream of becoming successful students
A second strategy I think is very useful for my college career is to set goals. This is useful for someone like me who always seems to slack off in school and give in to less important concerns. For example I would have school and work as my main priorities, but I would get distracted and end up playing video games or just hanging out doing nothing productive with my time. I decided to a set certain...

Relying on these positive techniques will allow you to accomplish not only being a great student but giving you the tools and exposure to be the best employee after obtaining your dream degree. I believe that most students may be successful in college and that the measure of handwork, devotion, and dedication are the features that divides the students who are effective from the students who are not. We may not all be effective at everything, yet don't work against yourself and at any rate try it out.
Currently there are many students tried to go to college and finish their degree. But some students don’t know what they should do in college and how to avoid the failure in classes. The failure will happen if you have no real goal or plan to finish it.
A recent failure that has changed how I go about my daily life is one that many college freshman experience in their first year. In high school I was a very good student, but I did not have to put in a lot of effort to get the grades that I wanted. I would joke with my friends and say that high school taught me how to put in the least amount of effort, and still get the maximum result. All of my teachers told me, as they did every student, that college was going to be different and if you do not put in more effort it would be very difficult. I knew this coming into school, but I am not sure if part of me wanted to prove people wrong, or if I actually was just adjusting to college life. I did not study as much as I should of, and as a result my grades suffered. Luckily I did not completely ruin my grade point average, but since first semester I have completely changed my study habits. This has taught a much needed lesson about hard work, and I am determined to never again fail at my studies. I am the kind of person that learns a lot from failures. My dad has always told me it is ok to make a mistake, but never make the same mistake twice. This I a motto that I live by.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
Many people happen to have some instances come up where they are not able attend class. Not all people are lazy and just decide that they don’t want to go to class that day, some have a genuine reason. The person may be feeling ill, have a child that is ill, or maybe even a court matter that they need to attend. Even so, they are still missing class, and this comes with consequences.
Throughout my lifetime, goals have always been a determining factor in the way I approach my day. Whether it be making the middle school talent show, or getting a good score on a test, goals have always been there to push me forward. Now that I have entered college, my long lists of goals have been a little more specific. Unlike before, I now acknowledge the specific strengths and weaknesses I have when reaching for them. For this school year, I have come up with three very important goals that I believe will help strengthen and make my first year in college a little more memorable. This year I will use numerous strategies to become better at effective speaking, reading difficult texts, and have a deeper knowledge in the engineering field.
