College success has become a most desirable goal. However, many students struggle through college. In fact, according to the Website Ask.com, approximately 15 percent of college students receive a degree. Because I’m willing to earn a degree like many other successful students, I find that college is the stepping stone to my dream goals. I know that college is difficult, but I realize that attaining my dream of a college education will require me to understand the benefits of what I’m learning, to prepare for obstacles, to seek advice, and to create effective and reasonable strategies will help me achieve my goals. Attending college has helped me see the right benefits that will help me achieve my ultimate dream goals. First of all, I want to be able to learn how to relate to different cultures, ethnicities, and personalities, and also be able to understand different backgrounds, the way people from diverse culture think and act and their lifestyles; In addition, I want to learn how to adapt to new situations including dealing with responsibilities such as using Blackboard and making sure that all my assignments are completed and submitted on time. Furthermore, I will have to learn how to adapt to being an adult and taking care of my own needs. In order to take advantage of the benefits, however, I will have to overcome obstacles. One obstacle that I anticipate is making good grades. I’ve always been concerned about grades because earning good grades in college matter to me. Another problem that many others have is that of procrastinating. I tend to put off doing the work. Sometimes is hard for me to listen to a professor because students are maybe busy chatting with each other, or others are asking the instructor many questions... ... middle of paper ... ...ending all my class every day and on time so that I can pass all my classes with good grades, and I have to plan on writing the important information that the instructors give. In addition, I will plan on studying ahead for tests and quizzes and make sure that I understand the necessary materials that will help me pass those tests and quizzes; I will also plan on asking my teachers questions when necessary. In conclusion, my dream is to become successful in college and benefit from college skills that will help me reach my future goals. However, I may have to be prepared for the obstacles that I might encounter, and learn to overcome them. Much of my success will depend upon my willingness to seek advice from experts and professors. In addition, I will have to learn how to build effective strategies that will help me achieve my dream of becoming successful students
Coming to college as an adult, we have many expectations and preconceptions of what college will or will not be. The expectations we have can influence our college life for the better or the worse. My experience since starting college has been an interesting one. People have misconceptions about college because they do not know what to expect. After doing some research, I have concluded that there are three major factors that are often misunderstood about college life. The first is the financial aspect of college. Second, is the relationship between the professors and students. Third is time management. These three factors play an important role in why people are afraid to go down the path to college.
College is a place where people go to learn and to grow as a person. Most people go to college for the same reasons. They want to set a good foundation for getting a job, experience new things, or because their parents wanted them to. All of those reasons apply to me also.
One benefit of college is that you will have better self-discipline after you get out of college. This is true because people who don’t go to college only have a high school education in which they babied you to get you through. College allows people to grow and develop into more mature people. Once you have matured from college you realize you have to prioritize your life. Having a higher level of education will make you stand out on an application; if it is you and someone without a college education
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
The process of preparing for college is an arduous process. College is an instrument used to have a successful life. However, getting into college is difficult. The competition for college admittance is extremely high. Most students do not take the necessary actions to ensure their admittance. Consequently, many students do not get attend their ideal college. Therefore, I have taken steps to make certain that I attend the college of my choice, By taking care of my class ranking, actively participating in school functions, and researching my intended degree, I have set myself up to attend the college of my choice.

It is time to turn the tables and test the teachers on the challenge of college. Throughout high school, students are told all about how difficult college is and what to expect. Not yet having experienced it, the students typically prepare for the worst. They teach themselves how to study based on the standards of their high school. They write papers, do homework, and participate in class in the attempt to meet the expectations of their teachers. They base their picture of college off their teachers’ standards and what their peers say. While many high school students have developed accurate expectations regarding the difficulties of college, the study skills acquired in high school may not be enough to ensure success at the collegiate level.
From my college experience, I hope to gain many things. Obviously college is a time that students can truly become individuals. When I attend college I will have the opportunity to become more independent and to take on new responsibilities. I have always relied on my parents for support, but at college I will be on my own and will have to push myself harder. This will help me to become more mature and will help me grow in character. I have long awaited for the time to be independent and now is the time that I shall prove myself.
College is an important step in life and if you choose to go can be a good start towards the career that a person desires to work in. College can put you in a better spot with the many benefits that it has. College education lets you explore subjects in greater depth, choose your own courses and schedule, and what you will focus on. At college it is often possible to do work co-op programs, where students alternate semesters or classes with work experience in their field (Gobel 2). The one thing about college is that you won’t achieve your desired goal if you don’t invest in yourself.

For most people, the next step after high school is college, and there are many differences between the two. Though I have had my share of staying a country alone with just my grandma who stays in her house all day, I believe college will give me a better judgement on how I should expect the adult life to be. Especially with matters like money management and how I should react to more mature situations, college is great outlet to teach me such subjects. Though my parents are great resources, having more references, especially people who are higher educated, will be a huge benefit. Not only that, I will be able to meet an extensive mix of people with different backgrounds, experiences, and opinions which will surely make myself more empathetic to the people I will meet as I grow older and travel away from Kansas. Being able to mingle with other peers that I haven’t grown up will be breath of fresh
I am a smart, hardworking and organized student with a 3.81 GPA, who wants nothing but success in life and won’t let nothing or no one stop me. I do have many projects that I will be facing in the near future, but the first project that I will be facing is finishing college and getting my college degree. While I am on this journey on getting my degree I have to remember what’s important. The steps I am going to take to make sure I get my degree is I will get help when I need it, stay on track and stay focus. They say it doesn’t matter how long you take to get your degree, as long as you get it.
I grew up in a poor family and college, for me, was an aspiration that often seemed out of reach. These past few months seem surreal and I keep imagining that I am going to wake up and realize that it has been a fantasy. I am so excited to be in school and that I have been given the opportunity to make my dream a reality. As I travel through the next few years at Colorado Christian University I want to work hard to attain the following goals maximize my learning experience, work hard to achieve an A or B in each class so that I can graduate with Cum Laude Honors.
