To give my personal philosophy of success I would first have to define “success”. Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My success philosophy that I plan on implementing from now on is accepting personal responsibility for the good and bad choices I make. There will be time when I need to focus on school and worry less about my free time. If I have a test to take I have to study for that test to get a good grade and continuous good grades will help me pass the course. I can’t depend on anyone else to do my work for me I’m personally responsible for completing my assignments and turning them in on time. When the weekend comes around and all I do is procrastinate by telling myself I’ll study later. The smart thing to do about this situation would be to think wise and use my time-management strategies. I’ll always have time for myself, so sacrificing some free time now is well worth it. This helps me to be a creator and not the victim about things and keeping up with the self-management strategy. The success strategies that I will use will help my learning style, self-management and self-responsibility. Most people believe success is just having lots of money, cars, and women but I believe success is an individual sport and I have to be ready to play because the outcome of my performance is based on the work I put into it. A second strategy I think is very useful for my college career is to set goals. This is useful for someone like me who always seems to slack off in school and give in to less important concerns. For example I would have school and work as my main priorities, but I would get distracted and end up playing video games or just hanging out doing nothing productive with my time. I decided to a set certain... ... middle of paper ... ... everything, and write down important events. Also from personal experience DO NOT procrastinates. Be interdependent rather than rely on just you or everyone else find a balance between the two. I think the most important thing to do is believe in you. You cannot reach your goals without this key factor. Also use a calendar, next actions list and tracking form. These help so much I know from personal experience throughout this year. This cuts down on stress and helps you keep organized and on track to the goals you have. “Where you come from” influence almost all factors in your life. It can make you or break you. It makes you who you are today and what you will become in the future. If you came from humble beginnings you might make it a goal of yours to not put your family through that and have money, just as it could also make you value the little things in life.
My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’
´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. It does not matter how related they are to each other in certain áreas they always have a different point of view of what success really is. For some success is measured by social status and wealth
The article “How to Be a Success” by Malcom Gladwell speaks about how success is something that can be achieved if you put the time and work into it, and how success is not achieved overnight but rather through long hours of constant practice. The groups of individuals that his article targets are teenage students, young adults, adults, people who want to become an expert, or want to succeed in something they have an interest in and in general society. Another article also related to the success of an individual “An A+ Student Regrets His Grades” by Afraj Gill describes how in society many schools focus more on students’ grades, rather than their learning, and how a student is
“It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves” (William Shakespeare). The fate of one’s life is determined by the actions and decisions they make over time. Success is not predetermined from the moment an individual is born. The choices in life can determine if an individual will rise to the top or fall to the bottom. “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell is an non-fiction story that reveals how much time and effort is required to achieve mastery at anything. David Epstein explains that success depends on the fortunate genetics in a person in the non-fiction excerpt “The Sports Gene.” The text from the “Outliers” supplies credible sources and evidence to support the idea that hard work and preparation results in success while the sports

Happiness, what is it, and why do we strive to achieve it so persistently? Happiness in some points of view is portrayed as the state that is derived from self-awareness of a benefiting action or moment taking place. What of the moments that are not beneficial? Can a person still find moments of happiness and success in discord, a little glimmer of light shining from the deep recesses of our own consciousness? Plucking it from a mere moment, achieved from money, or is it so much more, happiness is the precipice that all strive to gain to better perceive their success. As a person lives, they are in a constant struggle to be happy. For instance, even the United States Constitution makes reference to the idea that every person has the inalienable right to pursue happiness. This was the resulting outcome of the enlightenment from France, spilling out into the rest of the world from 1650 through 1800. This revolutionized the idea that every single person has the inalienable right to happiness or in different views the right to succeed. As to how one peruses or conjures their happiness that is an entirely different concept and completely up to their preferred preference, but it is something that a person needs to find on their own for true success.
