The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success
Following the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success has made me the person that I am today. The laws that we have followed have been the Law of Pure Potentiality, the Law of Giving, the Law of Karma or Cause and Effect, the Law of Least Effort, the Law of Intention and Desire, the Law of Detachment, and the Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life. These laws have taught me that success is not a destination it is a journey. They have taught me that true success is the unfolding of the divinity within us. And following these steps has helped me to find success with in myself.
Applying the first step in the Law of Pure Potentiality was very difficult for me because I live on campus. It was very difficult for me to meditate once a day, let alone twice a day. The only time I was able to, was in the morning when the rest of my roommates were sleeping. I wake up 15 minutes early, wash my face so that I do not fall back to sleep and then I go back into my room and sit on my bed to try and meditate. This works like 4 times a week because I am usually too tired and fall back to sleep. The days that I can stay awake and meditate I feel much happier with my self. It usually clears my head and makes it seem like I have no worries. Everyday I follow the second step of the Law of Pure Potentiality. I commune with nature. Most days I just sit in the green and watch the leaves blow around, I usually pick out one particular leaf and watch where it goes. I follow the leaf on its journey, it is really amazing. Once a week I try to go to Verona Park and stand on the bridge over the pond and watch the water flow and the geese and ducks swim. My time in the park and in the green really mellows me out because ...

These steps have helped me begin to find the divinity with in myself, or find success. I have not fully found myself because I have not been able to use or understand these laws completely. They have been very difficult for me to follow because they are asking me to change my life completely. I have started to slowly implement them and take a good amount of time on each law hoping that putting forth a great deal of effort will make them easier to accomplish. Through practice and meditation I think that I will become more comfortable with these laws to the point where I do not even notice that I am following them. When this class ends I will not stop using these laws, I have realized the error in my ways. I believe that following these laws will bring me to true happiness and success.
Generally speaking, success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, it’s how you accomplished it and the impact you
A Few Keys to All Success by Jim Muncy, published in 2002 explains that there are 7 universal keys to success that we can relate to everyday life. Discernment, Optimism, Responsibility, Initiative, Perseverance, Purpose, Sacrifice. Each one represents how we grow and teaches us how to have a high quality of life. From reading this book I am confident because I know being normal means being average and what we do can change how we act significantly. Also we can’t let the world hold us back from greatness. There will be negativity, there will be those who lack enthusiasm but you can’t let them interfere in what you have in store. And these keys will help you get to that point in your life. Discernment; Judge the seed by the harvest. The first
Helping and not helping. If I see someone helping others I say he is nice or she is nice, and probably talk about what he or she had done which leads to a healthy approach towards someone. Even if we like it or not this will influence love with in us. This is the way to love one another closing all the gaps that lets evil thinkings with in
Renowned speaker and M.D. Deepak Chopra, founder of the Chopra Center for Well Being, has authored fifty-five books on achieving health through mind and body wellness. Merging the concepts of spirituality and body, Chopra has written a book where he presents The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. By implementing these laws, every person can lead a life of happiness and success. 1. The Law of Pure Potentiality Every human, each one of us, is made up of energy; we are all part of nature, part of each other. We are made of unbound consciousness, capable of being anything. We are pure potential. This energy surrounds us, it penetrates us, and it binds our universe together. Sound familiar? If so, then the force will be with you, always. This law forms the foundation of the other laws.
The spiritual leadership theory was developed during an evolution and progression of modern leadership theories. Research suggests that the spiritual leadership theory is the solution for addressing work overload and increased stress due to globalization, culturally diverse environments, robust technology, and competitive markets (Fry & Cohen, 2009). The theory’s purpose is to motivate others through values, attitudes, and behaviors; incorporating basic human needs: vision, hope, faith, love, work spirituality, and spiritual well-being (Fry & Cohen, 2009). As a result, several changes occurred such as, team empowerment, increased levels of organizational dedication, and increased organizational productivity and performance. The purpose of this
What is the source of your success? My own definition of success is about overcoming my obstacles and hardships. If I can’t overcome the obstacles and hardships along the way, then I will try again so that I am more prepared and have the right knowledge. I want to meet obstacles and hardships because I want to feel the pleasure of success when I overcome them. In order for me to overcome and embrace hardships, I need to find the missing link, have the right knowledge, and practice effective time management.
In my walk with the Lord I see the value of love in not only showing compassion toward my neighbor, the person God has created me to be and above all else our Lord and Savior Jesus
OK. So you’ve heard, that meditation is beneficial for you, maybe you’ve read lists about the advantages of meditation. To give my personal philosophy of success I would first have to define “success”. Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My success philosophy that I plan on implementing from now on is accepting personal responsibility for the good and bad choices I make. There will be time when I need to focus on school and worry less about my free time. If I have a test to take I have to study for that test to get a good grade and continuous good grades will help me pass the course. I can’t depend on anyone else to do my work for me I’m personally responsible for completing my assignments and turning them in on time. When the weekend comes around and all I do is procrastinate by telling myself I’ll study later. The smart thing to do about this situation would be to think wise and use my time-management strategies. I’ll always have time for myself, so sacrificing some free time now is well worth it. This helps me to be a creator and not the victim about things and keeping up with the self-management strategy. The success strategies that I will use will help my learning style, self-management and self-responsibility. Most people believe success is just having lots of money, cars, and women but I believe success is an individual sport and I have to be ready to play because the outcome of my performance is based on the work I put into it.
There are several qualities to have to be successful in college. These qualities can range from attending class to going above and beyond what’s expected. Success comes from the journey taken or the path chosen. Success also comes from being prepared. As a student, I must step up to the challenge and find the path to success along the way. Several ways I define success is to uphold academic integrity, have the ability to prioritize, and to motivate myself to stay on top of what needs to be accomplished.
It is well known and proven that over time the benefits of meditating on a regular basis promotes the development of inner calmness, connectedness, focus, flow, a clear clarity of mind, a focused and more stable grounded concentration, along with coherency of thought, increased creativity, being more open and receptive to receive insights, solutions to problems and new ideas, a balanced and harmonious centred inner equilibrium, a relaxed happy body, mind and spirit, which in turn assists as a preventative tool that creates and maintains positive overall vibrant health and wellbeing.
At the beginning of my mindfulness journey, I felt frustrated as I began to realize how much I struggled with being in the present. I could not focus and I struggled to make it five minutes of practice. In the first two weeks, mindfulness felt like a chore. As I sat down to practice I would feel defeated each time. I did not really understand the point of mindfulness as focusing on breathing felt meaningless to me. My mind would wander each time I tried to focus on breathing and I began to realize how hard it was to still and control my mind. I knew that I was supposed to feel more relaxed and connected with my mind and body, but after each practice I felt more frustrated with myself. In the beginning I began to realize
I recently came across a very interesting topic that impacted my life greatly, and that topic was spiritual discipline. There are many forms of spiritual discipline that we as Christian encounter each day. Spiritual discipline is an aid that helps us be more like Jesus. It trains us to hear His voice and obey Him. Spiritual discipline is not obeying the laws and commandments, it is talking with God and showing the internal change that He put in us on the outside. Spiritual discipline puts us in a position where we go before Him and he transforms us and makes us new. “Disciplines are things you do— such as read, meditate, pray, fast, worship, serve, learn, and so on. The goal of practicing a given Discipline, of course, is not about doing
