( ) The song is describing and giving examples of some of the types of people who devote their lives to success. For example, when the song reads, “be believers” It is trying to convey the message of “not giving up on yourself”. If one believes in himself/herself, he/she can do anything if they set their mind to it.

The evidence to support this statement would be the fact that this song expresses the feelings of the song writers regarding success. It also has a rhythm scheme like most lyrical poems. Since the song is a lyrical poem, it is easier to understand and interpret the song writers’ view point regarding success. The song also has many hyperboles to emphasize the meaning of the song. One example would be the following: You can talk to God, go banging on his door ( ). The hyperbole is exaggerating one’s courage and self-confidence. It takes a lot of courage to climb up the mountain. It is filled with rigorous hindrance one must face. When one reaches the top of the mountain, it greatly boosts their self-confidence.
