I am almost certain that I will attend and receive a full scholarship to North Carolina Wesleyan College. I will be more surprised if I do not receive a full scholarship. Over the past two weeks I have researched the requirements and average scores of the student body and I place exceptionally well among them. My position as a transfer student from Nash Community College also compounds on my chances. I feel extremely confident regarding my future as a result. My academic numbers, which is my GPA and ACT/SAT scores, almost guarantee that I will attend North Carolina Wesleyan College with a full scholarship. In my research, I found that the requirements for being accepted to North Carolina Wesleyan College are much lower than the other colleges I could attend. Logically, if I can be accepted in a more selective school, then I will have no problem being accepted in a less selective school such as North Carolina Wesleyan College. The college website states "Typically, students should have a 2.3 (2.5) GPA and an 800 (900) SAT score or a 17 (19) Composite score on the ACT to be regularly accepted into North Carolina Wesleyan College. The John & Charles Wesley Heritage Scholarship includes full tuition, room, board, and books. This scholarship only requires a 4.0 Weighted GPA, 1240/1170 SAT, 26 ACT, all of which I exceed. The selection of the scholarship recipient’s is determined by an interview, but I feel confident that I will do fine. The other scholarships have lower requirements and lower rewards, so even if I do not get the full scholarship, I qualify for a total of $48,500 in scholarships, $15,500 of which renews annually.
