The brainstorming techniques that work best for me are free writing and questioning. The free writing technique gives me the opportunity to write as freely as I desire. When free writing I am free from being critical of my work, and I am free from the worry of proper grammar and spelling. The free writing technique also helps me with writers block, allowing my creative juices to flow. The questioning technique is probally my favorite, I truly enjoy writing, and progressing at it. The who, what, when, why, where, and why questions, allow me to increase the detail, and information in my writing. You must pay attention to detail, and facts during this stage, at least it works best for me. What are some ways that the questioning technique help

1. Have you established a writing style? What does it involve? What are the challenges you encounter when writing? What do you anticipate encountering when writing longer research papers?
there is no way I could write what I had thought because I tend to forget after a few second. I am able to write down certain words I could remember but I cannot expand on them quick enough for me to actually start a few sentences. Reading while taking side notes is one of the best way I have found that has help me in building words together to form sentences even if my thought sometimes gets clustered with so many ideas. When I do have more material for my papers I must stop what I am doing and quickly write them down before I forget, later I could go back to what I wrote and expand to make them into sentences and even paragraphs. There are also times where I could write down couple of things and just expand on them for a while but then it begins to fade and I must go back to the last few things I had writing to get inspired
Writing 150 has been a truly enjoyable course for me. While I have always loved language and literature, this class gave me a fresh, new perspective on what it means to be a writer. From the very first class, I was redefining what writing means to me and how I could use it in my life, even if my career path isn’t centered around writing. As the semester comes to a close, I want to share with you which paper was my favorite from this course, how my identity as a writer has changed, and how I will approach future writing tasks with a new and improved writing process.
The process of writing papers can be very frustrating. You must first get your ideas together. Getting your ideas together can be one of the hardest parts of writing because you could possibly not know what di...
Writing can be a very difficult process for those who do not know how to go about constructing
I am sitting in my bed, thinking about my process of writing as I am trying to go through it. It seems the more I think about it, the less I understand it. When I am writing, I don’t think. Which I know, sounds bad. But, I spend every single moment of every single day over thinking, over analyzing, and over assuming every aspect of my life. When I’m writing, I’m free from that for just a little bit. Until of course, my hands stop typing or the pencil (no pens- never pens) stops moving, then I’m right back on the carousel that is my brain. Heidi Estrem says, “...writers use writing to generate knowledge that they didn’t have before.” (Writing is a Knowledge-Making Activity 18). I believe my ability to write without an exact destination
I am going to die before I finish this! A lot of people have trouble writing papers and often think that saying. But, there are certain things one must follow to write a proper paper. There are steps to make writing a paper much easier. The writing process and basic structure of an essay help create a proper paper for school such as an Investigative Research Paper.
Every essay begins with a blank stare into space, an exasperated sigh, and the inevitable thought: what am I going write about? Or at least that is how they used to begin, and this process may have continued for hours, or even days, with each time I sat down determined to write nothing would make it on the paper. This became a major roadblock in my writing process, because every essay took an unreasonable amount of time thinking about how to approach this topic, typing sentences out and the deleting them. Finally, an idea would come and I would begin to write, the words would finally spill out onto the paper. The terrible experience writing forced me to figure out a new way to brainstorm my essay weeks before the essay was assigned.
When doing my writing process there are a lot of this I like to do and do not like to do. To begin my writing process my environment has to be exceptionally tidy/clean. I like my space to be moderately lit, meaning not too much of a bright light and neither too dull. Most times I will not play music in the background, but if I do it will be soft, coffee shop or jazz music with no lyrics. I normally like to sit upright on my bed with a cushion behind my back or on a soft rotating chair at a desk. My environment has to be warm and smell nice. I also prefer when I have a snack and a bottle of water close by to keep me motivated while doing my writing process. I cannot be around a loud environment or too many friends unless they are all quiet and doing work also.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for all the efforts that you have invested in helping me improve my writing throughout this course. The exertions which you devoted in me did not go in vain. Throughout this semester, I have become more insightful in regard to the process of writing as a whole. Who knew that writing can be challenging yet rewarding simultaneously? Through many challenges encountered in this class and many exercises comprised in this course, I was exposed to new writing process, audiences, and I became more inclined to taking risks in the art of writing. As the semester took form, I came to find myself careworn by certain elements of the writing process. Unlike many writers, beginning to write,
When I sit down to write, I must do so in a clean, well-organized, and well-lit area. The space must be free from distractions, such as the television or radio, so that I am able to focus and gather my thoughts. I like to begin my writings similar to the way William Stafford says he starts, "To get started I will accept anything that occurs to me." Writing down any thought that will help support and provoke more thoughts and ideas. When my thoughts become cloudy, I like to rise from my seat and walk around speaking out ideas to myself. I find this practice helps to jumpstart my brain activity and clear my foggy mind.
Stay focused on the topic. This is a very important rule for brainstorming because it is so easy for your mind wonder off topic. For instance, writing an essay paper requires you to brainstorm a couple of ideas. However, if you start to over think
Brainstorming happens in 5 steps or guidelines one should follow. The first guideline is setting up rules for the group on brainstorming. I create rules of brainstorming by getting together as a
To begin with, coming up with an idea is the most crucial thing in novel writing. One should always try to get out of his comfort zone and think outside the box. One way of doing it is by
