Final Reflection

Having a minor in business and having health administration as my major, I have learned to appreciate the business classes’, especially the ones that focuses on technology. I feel my course work in MIS 3530 has allowed me to develop in serval core competencies. Over the 16 weeks, I have been able to learn more about computer systems, html, CSS, and coding videos. I have always loved computers, and for the most part I yearned to learn more about them as whole. I have never been great at coding, html, or cascading style sheet, and thus is why I decided to take the course. One of the main course content that I enjoyed the most, was learning cascading style sheet. I learned from the course not only the the history of CSS style sheets, but the basic steps on how to use CSS. Yet, CSS is very useful in many scenarios, more and more healthcare delivery systems are converting to computers, ranging from client information, to keep track of finances. Perhaps I might work at a big hospital, I may start my career working for a small healthcare institution, where somethings, including dealing with the company’s website could be a daily task. Having CSS background could allow me to make changes on my own, cut downtime of website, and also save money from calling in a computer technician. Also with the hopes of taking what I learned from the course, I would like to take more course for CSS which could be a plus on my resume. Aside from CSS, I learned a good deal from taking this course. I never realized how important coding is, and how one misplaced symbol, letter, or missing close tag could affect the whole website.
