Participants in this study consisted of 50 individuals who were active users on Facebook, family members, and peers. Nearly 78% of the participants resided in cities throughout Southern California including Los Angeles, San Diego, and West Covina. 4% of the participants lived in Northern California, 8% resided in the East Coast, 2% lived outside the United States, and 6% did not specify their location. The participants ranged between 17 years old to 53 years old. In this study, individuals who were between the ages of 17 to 24 were placed in the late adolescence group. One limitation found was that this study used a convenience sampling method which produced bias among the participants. All the participants were recruited through Facebook, family, and peers. With this being said, I personally knew my participants which did not produce a truly random sample. In addition, more than half of the participants were females compared to males and. This study also did not ask about the level of educational attainment of the participants. These features can be considered as a drawback to this study since it did not generate a true representation of the population. Another limitation is that the research survey asked very sensitive and personal questions. The survey asked questions about one's parental relationship quality and their criminal history Since I knew the participants on a personal level, they may be reluctant to answer all the questions truthfully. The participants may not want to publicly display their parental relationships and criminal history, despite the study being confidential and anonymous. The survey also asked about parents in general or people who they with that act as parents. Therefore, this study did not specify what parent the participants were referring
