Participants in this study consisted of 50 individuals who were active users on Facebook, family members, and peers. One limitation found was that this study used a convenience sampling method which produced bias among the participants. All the participants were recruited through Facebook, family, and peers. With this being said, I personally knew my participants which did not produce a truly random sample. In addition, more than half of the participants were females compared to males and. These features can be considered as a drawback to this study since it did not generate a true representation of the population. The participants may not want to publicly display their parental relationships and criminal history, despite the study being confidential and anonymous.
