The basic definition of an animation is to make a succession of multiple images and clash them together. Animation as a whole has come a long way, and may still go a long way from where it at. Due to the creativeness and fast pace of 3D animation, 2D animation is slowly losing its hold on today’s society. With 2D and 3D animation one has to take in account what either involves and how they are done. When making 2D animations they consist of the length and width. In 3D, the dimensions consist of length, width, & depth. 2D animations have an X and Y axis, the X axis. 3D animations have an X, Y, and Z axis. X is horizontal, Y is vertical, the Z being for depth. In 2d animation everything is flat, whereas in 3D everything is made to seen as if it is jumping out of the TV, movie screen, paper, etc.” Animations in 2D involves manipulating a surface to paint or write a code on a graphics surface to where it moving as little as possible.
