Hercules What is a hero? Is it someone with superhuman abilities or god like power or is it just simple people doing the right thing? In this story it’s the combination of the two cause my hero is Hercules. Hercules’s story begin in a place called mt. Oplympus where gods all alike and different go to and where his father Zues rules over the world and beyond. But soon he would be taken away from his home up in the sky by Hates ,the ruler of the dead and the underworld, his minions and took him to earth and transported him from god to mortal ,but he still had one thing that didn’t change ,his strength that was stronger than many gods.Soon he figured out that he is not meant to be on earth but somewhere else far away. Zues and when he gets there the once statue becomes real life and soon hercules is talking to his real father and he tells him”to become a god again you must find Philocetetes the trainer of hero and when you prove yourself a true hero that’s when you may come and rejoin the gods.”Soon he heads off with his long time forgotten buddy Pegasus his half bird half horse companion to phil the trainer of hero’s.When they get there phil is “retired” , but soon after Hercules says his father is Zues he comes to his senses and trains Hercules. After day after day training phil has trained Hercules to be a force to recon with and phil decides to try his new hero out against a foe named heracles a half man half horse beast who is soon defeated by Hercules. After the fight hates found out that he had defeated his allie heracles he wanted to test Hercules out himself.
Hates sent landslides ,multi headed beasts, and even giant lions, but never lost to one which infuriated Hates so he thought of one thing that would crush him, a dansel in distress, hercules fell for the girl and lost all of his strength in a deal to help the girl . This was almost a fatal decision cause little did he know hates was to free the horible titans that wanted revenge on his father, and would crush him in their path without his strength. But then meg got hurt saving Hercules and the deal was broken, he had regained his strength,as fast as he could go he flew with his companion and saved the gods, including his father, from the titans, but could not save meg before she died .So he raced to hates and and jumped into the pool of death to save his lady. At this point he had done something that was heroic not fighting a bests or saving lives it was risking his life for another and after this moment he turned into a god.Just like his father said “a true hero isn’t judged by the size of his strength ,but by the strength of his heart.”After thinking about it Hercules gave up his godhood and stayed on earth with the person he loved , his dansel. So as I had said
,who is a hero? I think my question has been answered, it’s not by what you look like, it’s what you do that makes you a true hero.
How do you define a hero? Some may define a hero as someone with great courage and bravery; to others a hero might be a strong warrior and leader who wins battles; others may define a hero as one who uses his brain as much as his brawn to win. In Homer's epic poem, Odyssey, Odysseus is portrayed as a hero by every definition.
The dictionary defines hero in mythology and legend as, "a man who is endowed with great courage and strength, celebrated for his bold exploits, and born of divine or royal blood. He is a person noted for feats of courage or nobility of purpose, especially one who has risked or sacrificed his or her life." In addition, I believe a hero is one to be looked up to and emulated. What is interesting about epic heroes is that their great deeds and exploits all have to do with defeating themselves, so with help from the gods they can truly become heroic. They can only defeat themselves with the help of the gods.
Hercules of 1997 got put together by one of the popular Disney directors, Ron Clements and John Musker. Their earlier works include “The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” and “The Great Mouse Detective,” which were movies that were astoundingly successful Disney movies that almost everyone enjoyed watching. Hercules without a doubt is one of my top Disney favourite movies, because of its really pop and melodious songs, and its simple yet very intricate plotline.
What is a hero? A hero can be classified as a number of things. A hero can be a person who in the opinions of others has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. Ervin Staub, a holocaust survivor from Hungary and as scholar on altruistic behavior, has written, "Goodness like evil often begins in small steps. Heroes evolve; they aren't born. Very often the rescuers make only a small commitment at the start, to hide someone for a day or two. But once they had taken that step, they begin to see themselves differently, as someone who helps. What starts as mere willingness becomes intense involvement." The business man, Oskar Schindler, demonstrated a powerful example
Throughout the story he tries to find who he really is and where he truly belongs. Along the way he runs into a girl named Meg, he fall in love with her not knowing that she is working with Hades. Hades is trying to destroy Hercules. When Hercules defeats Hades he becomes a hero and a god and returns to being immortal, he faces the decision of returning to a mortal to be with Meg or being a god like his father Zeus. This movie shows that no matter what, even if you don’t fit in that you do belong somewhere. If you had the choice of being something bigger than yoursefl or love, which would you
Many think being a hero is having super powers, but on the contrary it's more than that. A hero is one who is distinguished for their courage and bravery, and looked upon for their great deeds. A hero like this is not just found in modern society today, but in mythology as well. In the epic poem The Odyssey by Homer, Odysseus earns the title of a true hero by conveying many qualities such as: determination, courage and leadership.
Anne quoted in The Diary Of Anne Frank, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." Anne may have perceived this way due to the fact that everyone was down because of the possible imprisonment of the Frank family and The Van Daan's. She may also feel this way because she was starting to regret everything she had said to everyone who was staying with the Frank's. The last idea I think that Anne felt that way is because she might have felt that Adolf Hitler was pressuring his military to do something they knew was wrong. This is because Hitler was a very brutal human. There are yet many more influential quotes spoken by Anne, and still, most of us have no idea of what they mean. Given the fact that some people study famous quotes, but a majority of the American civilization knows little or nothing about Anne Frank, let alone her quoted words. This can cause riots between modern day Germans and Jews. On the last page of the play, Anne stated, "Despite everything, I still believe people are really good at heart." Even though Anne said, "In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart", she means that even after all of the bad things they have done to her, she still believes people mean to
Heroes, the unordinary beings with extravagant abilities, from powers and competence to skills and talents. Heroes are people who are idealized by society for their courage and individuality. Iconic and well recognized heroes like Hercules, Superman, Spiderman and Achilles are some of the few heroes known around. All heroes have a similarity to each other, for example Beowulf and Batman. While both can be considered great heroes, they differ significantly, yet are similar in other ways.
The constellation of Hercules is the fifth largest of the modern 88 constellation today it borders the constellations of Bootes and Draco. The mythology of Hercules is that he is one of the best well know and recognize heroes in Greek mythology. He is best known as the strongest of all mortals even stronger than of a god. But the story of Hercules is an interesting one he was the last mortal son of Zeus and the only man born of a mortal woman to become a god. When Hercules was born his life was at stake from Hera she plotted to kill the young Hercules at an early stage. Whilst still a baby, Hercules had to contend with the wrath of Hera, Zeus's wife. Angered at her husband's unfaithfulness, she decided that Hercules must be killed. She sent two snakes to murder him as he lay in his crib, but such was Hercules' strength that he was able to strangle them both with his bare
Myths and religious doctrine are generally recognized as two entirely different things. Myths are usually referred to as a fictitious story or a half-truth; often they are stories shared between groups of people that are part of a cultural society. Religion is a set of beliefs concerning the cause, and purpose of the universe, and often containing an ethical code dictating appropriate human conduct. Although they differ in certain aspects, they still hold similarities. Comparable to parables within the Bible, myths have different versions which are both motivating, as well as entertaining. There are not only parallels to the idea of the stories but specific tales hold similar morals and equivalent characters.
Hercules, or known in Latin as Heracles, was the greatest of the Greek heroes, a paragon of masculinity. In art Hercules was portrayed as a powerful, muscular man wearing lion's skin and armed with a huge club. He was also described as being a macho man buffoon, who was very impulsive. Hercules’ home and birthing place is in Thebes, Greece. Thebes is a city in central Greece. It plays as an important setting in many Greek myths, such as the stories of Cadmus, Oedipus, Dionysus and many other important roles in Greek Mythology. The demigod, Hercules has an interesting origin, he is most famous for his 12 labors, and leaves a legacy in words and expressions.

Hercules is best known as the strongest of all of the mortals, he is also stronger than many gods. He was the last mortal son of Zeus, and the only man born of a mortal woman to become a god upon his death. Offsetting his strength was a noticeable lack of intelligence or wisdom. He might have his bad times but he would do anything to help a friend. When his anger passed, he was the one who was critical about his anger issue. He was too strong for anyone to force a punishment on him. When he was punished, he showed patience, fortitude, and endurance that was something else other than his strength. He was one of a mortal role model, he was strong and not only that, he has other good characteristics too.
Narrator: Hercules had been assigned 10 close to impossible tasks that he has completed, yet two were counted as “not done correctly” so he has been assigned yet another, more difficult task.
