Hercules (An Epic Hero)


Hercules is best known as the strongest of all of the mortals, he is also stronger than many gods. He was the last mortal son of Zeus, and the only man born of a mortal woman to become a god upon his death. Offsetting his strength was a noticeable lack of intelligence or wisdom. He might have his bad times but he would do anything to help a friend. When his anger passed, he was the one who was critical about his anger issue. He was too strong for anyone to force a punishment on him.When he was punished, he showed patience, fortitude, and endurance that was something else other than his strength. He was one of a mortal role model, he was strong and not only that, he has other good characteristics too.

He was a hero because he saved towns from evil monsters like the hydra, slaying monsters and other evil things like that. He was also considered a hero because he was half man, half god. The Greeks revered Demi gods because they wanted to get closer to the gods. Hercules has been known for the great monsters that he took on, and also the tasks that he was able to accomplish. He is also known that Hera, a goddess hated him. Hera hated Hercules with a burning passion, because her husband Zeus went behind her back and had Hercules with another woman. In the old world, Hercules was a hero simply because of his incredible strength, the same way what's his face was a hero because he invincible apart from his Achilles heel. Hercules weakness was that he was mortal. He was godlike, but he could die like any human. Although he is considered a hero, he still has a weakness. All heroes has a weakness but they are still considered as heroes, epic heroes. Those are my basic reasons why Hercules is considered an epic hero. Another thing that might consider him a hero is that he is a very great person.
