How the sport of Drag Racing Works Drag racing can be a dangerous sport if you don't know how things work. Drag racing has many things that go in to to it. The sport of drag racing is unsafe if you don't have right equipment. From the rules that keep it a game and safe, to the tools the workers use on the trace it. It's all needed. The equipment used in drag racing. Like in the cars or dragsters, you need seat belts, that be 4-point to 6-point, helmets and neck restraints and for faster vehicles back brakes, amr restaurants, and fire suit in case the vehicle catches fire and you can't get you in time. “You must have paishoots if you go over 150 for safety to get slowed down in time to turn off in to the return lain”NHRA.
